Sfantul Andrei

Sfantul Andrei este unul din cei mai importanti sfinti pe care crestin-ortodocsii ii cinstesc peste an. Apostolul Andrei i-a crestinat pe romani si este cunoscut si ca protector al Dobrogei. De aceasta sarbatoare se leaga o serie de traditii si superstitii.

In noaptea Sfantului Andrei trebuie sa ne rugam lui Dumnezeu. Crestinii care tin post negru pe 30 noiembrie, vor avea un an lipsit de griji, plin de bucurii si daruri adevarate, daruri care izvorasc din inimi si suflete smerite.

Sfântul Apostol Andrei a fost unul dintre propovăduitorii Evangheliei, în calitate de trimis al Mântuitorului.

Acatistele sunt rugaciuni prin care cerem mai ales mijlocirea Sfintilor pe langa Dumnezeu, spre a ne ajuta sau a ne izbavi la vreme de nevoie si de necaz. Ele nu fac parte din randuiala celor sapte Laude si nici din celelalte slujbe ale sarbatorilor de peste an, ci se citesc la orice vreme, in afara ceasurilor de slujba ale Bisericii, la cererea credinciosilor si pentru feluritele lor nevoi. Se numesc acatiste (in greceste ahatistos), pentru ca in timpul lor nu stam jos in strane, ci in picioare sau in genunchi in fata icoanei sfantului spre care ne indreptam rugaciunile noastre.
