Seesaw: The Learning Journal for Android
Loved it but now I may leave. Can't access parents messages on android. Useless if I can't see my parents messages! Other classroom apps have solved these problems.
This app rocks! So simple to use yet powerful. I taught one student how to share his work on Thursday. By dismissal time on Friday he had taught everyone in the class how to share. I'm getting good feedback from parents too.
Love what the app can do for students to share info. I dislike that as a teacher I cannot see the parent messages on an android. This is frustrating.
I used to love it but probably wouldn't recommend it now that parent messages are so difficult to access. This had been a key as to why it suited the needs of myself and my families, but now it's just easier to use email.
Love this app for teaching kindergarten. It allows me to take photos, videos and write comments to keep in touch with parents throughout the day. I love that I can share with parents pictures throughout the day and explain the learning that is going on in the picture. Parents love it as a tool to start conversations with their children about what they did at school. Parents now have a better understanding of what their children do all day, what their children are learning through meaningful play. They can see pictures of writing samples and crafts and really celebrate with their children the progress they are making. This app helps me as a teacher document each child's work and progress throughout the year which makes parent teacher interviews and report cards so much easier! Love this app!
Fast, easy snapshots for parents that want to see what their child is doing everyday. Great for kids who say they did nothing today!
See saw has been a great way to connect parents to what their child is learning in school. I often get faster responses from parents through seesaw than any other type of communication. And the kids love seeing their parents likes and comments on their work.
I don't like how the updated version of the family app mixes up each of you're child's journals. I like to see their news feeds separate
Loving this app. As a teacher, it's a great way to get things out to parents. And as a parent, I think it's wonderful to see a slice of a child's day.
I dont find it to be user friendly. I have to use it as a teacher and parent of two kids and i dislike it so much that i cannot tell you what my kids are doing
Students and families love sharing what is going on in the classroom. We start at Open House with family photos! From science to free time, kids do their best because they have an authentic audience. I love that I get to approve what my students and families post.. sometimes that develops into a lesson of "Is this your best work?"
I love the communication for my parents. However, its not as user friendly on all devices.
I love being able to send families messages and know that they've seen it. SO much better than a blog!
Seesaw is one of the best things I've ever done as a teacher. Parents and students love it too.
A good tool in the classroom. Useful for parents letting them see their kids' works and activities.
I love the app and want to give it 5 stars but really need the ability to send parent messages and read their responses from my android phone... When will this be updated as it is on the website and apple phones? For now I will keep my rating a 3.
This app has made it easier to communicate with parents. And has given me lots of ideas to work with my students and to empower of my students thank you
I like the app, but I dislike that I can't send or receive parent messages.
I can't see the parent messages on my Android phone.
Excellent way to connect parents and students alike to education. Parents know what's going on and love to talk about their child's day!
It's amazing getting to know what my son is working on at school...this app changed the way he thinks about school now he loves going!!!! Amazing app!!
This app is exactly what I needed for our homeschool! It lets me do what I need while enabling I my teenager to work more independently. Love it!!!!
A great way to communicate with families. Both students and I can send immediate updates about the learning.
I really like this app a lot, however I'm an art teacher who sees many students and would like to use as a portfolio but it takes so long to upload stuff to student pages.
Absolutely wonderful for parental involvement. Had wonderful responses from all parents. It's also a great way to engage children with their learning and to take ownership whilst developing ICT skills. I love it!!!
Useful to share pics and work with parents. Started using it last year and the parents loved it
After looking at a coteachers app on iPhone, I'm disappointed that the Android app is missing so many features. Activities?? Parents??
Best tool for teachers ever !! Taken out the need for physical portfolios altogether. Real time news about your child, easy assessment for teachers and independent record keeping for kids . Win win win !!
This is a great way for me to share my student's work with their parents. It also allows me to flip the classroom and give my students the opportunity to show me what they have learned.
Why can't I access the NEW private message feature from my teacher app? I have to sign in ONLINE to read them... ?????
Great tool for teacher. My students just love to practice writing on Seesaw. So much fun.
Doesn't work home but t'as at school :('
Love the computer and ipad version but can't message from my phone (Galaxy)
This app is very good to see other peoples ideas and mine.
Love how it is so easy to document what my students are doing. Great app!
I like shearing all my work with the click of a buttom
Useful to go back and look at student Work for documentation.
Useful for quickly recording students activities and related teacher observations. I can file under particular students names, tag several students and cross reference in different folders.
I was suprised of how well this product worked.

I do really like this app, I find it is awesome for sharing and building a digital portfolio. But it is incredibly frustrating that on Android it is so difficult to access parent messages. I end up opening it up in my browser rather than using the app because of this problem. Please fix it!
