About Go! - Start Clock
New in v4.2: Time zero.
New in v4.1: Starting window.
New feature in v4.0: GPS time synchronisation.
See how Start Clock gets synchronised via the device's GPS in this video clip:

Start Clock is used to individually start runners/skiers/bikers in a race, e.g. in an orienteering or skiing competition. It works on both phones and tablets. The text is automatically adapted to fill the screen.
Start Clock:
- Gives an audible prewarning (e.g. 10 sec before start);
- Beeps on the seconds before start (e.g. 55, 56, 57, 58, 59); and,
- Beeps even more on the go second.
Start Clock shows current time, alternatively countdown to the start signal (to zero), or timing relative to a zero time point. The start interval can be chosen from 5 sec to 10 min (see below).
The time can be synchronised to the device’s built-in GPS. Additionally, the displayed time can be adjusted:
- To show call-up time (e.g. 3 min ahead);
- To align with the timing system of the race (e.g. 0.75 sec); and,
- To postpone start (e.g. by half an hour, enter -30 min).
Text colours can be freely chosen for normal time, for the seconds before start, and, for the start second (can resemble a traffic light). As an alternative, a starting window can be used, which shows green, for example, 5 sec before and 5 sec after the start signal.
Start Clock can have a picture of your choice as a background image (alternatively, plain colour). Use a photo, the logo of the club or prepare a custom background picture. Additionally, a blinking text can be displayed; its position and size can be adjusted.
To load a custom background picture, Start Clock needs read access to your photos. Also, access to the device’s location is needed to enable GPS synchronisation. No other permissions are required.
Start Clock shows no advertisements. It does not gather, transmit or disclose any personal data.
Hint: Activate Flight Mode on your phone/tablet to prevent incoming calls from interrupting Start Clock.
Available start intervals: 0:05, 0:10, 0:15, 0:20, 0:25, 0:30, 0:40, 0:45, 0:50, 1:00, 1:15, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 7:30, 10:00.

It would be an improvement to have two warning beeps (e.g. 1 minute and next 10 seconds before the start)
