Phoniac, a Phone Usage Monitor for Android
It's difficult to get relevant measures sometimes because not all the time the screen is on it means you are using the phone. Also it counts screens and time even when the phone is waken up by notifications regardless of you are seeing them or not. For me the most interesting statistic is the number of unlocks as I normally lock the phone everytime I am not using it. Other than this, the app works great!
Would like if some provision is made to see the amount of time consumed per app.
It is very confussinh.?.?.?.?.?
After 5 minutes I dumped it. Switched to App Usage and am happy
Best so far.
Love it!

A lot of the phone usage apps ask for a lot of permissions when they install. I'd rather not grant so many permissions to a random app. Some of these apps want your location, your accounts, your contacts, the ability to send SMS messages, along with many others, which seems unnecessary if you just want to know how much time you spend on your phone. I prefer Phoniac since it doesn't really ask for that many permissions to be granted. I agree the UI is a bit confusing, but it does what it advertises, so I'm happy with it. A useful feature that I like is that it can try and nudge you towards better behavior, because every 10 times you unlock your phone, it sends you a notification.
