Sonos Widget Pro

My sonos system spans 2 wifi areas (2 access points). It only connects to 1 access point.

Sucks! Widget Property does nothing, either! Totally ripped off!!!

works as intended. maybe wish for better integration with playlists etc. one of the reasons i'm on android

Super app. Really like the quick access to all the settings. Sonos should have done this. All the widgets are great except the pro 4x4 settings are a bit slow to react...

My biggest complaint about the Sonia controller was that I had to unlock my tablet and open the app to see what song was playing or adjust the volume. Now I can do just that

Clicking the widget should be able to take you to the Sonos app.

Big big fan; BUT frequently its unable to connect when the sonos app has no problem, also it seems to crash quite often. A way to force a "refresh/reconnect" would be nice

The missing part of the official app. A must have.

Very useful widget, and this is functionality that should be part of the official app. I use this daily, since starting the real app takes to long, and this one caches the players which means it doesn't need to scan the network before it's usable (when leaving home and returning). The 4x4 widget is the most useful one, but I use the single player widget to control my Connect:AMP when it has autostarted the line-in feed from my TV. Very handy to have it on my home screen.

Incredibly handy - this should have been part of the official sonos client This widget works really well and is one of my few widgets I use daily. Having a quick way to pause or change the volume is indispensable - the official Sonos client takes forever to load while this widget is instantaneous.

Fills one of a couple of obvious holes in the Sonos controller app. Also - I commented on the lack of ability to launch the Sonos controller from the widget on my last review... 10 days later this has been addressed (and my review upped to 5* with no reservation). Very responsive developer - great app. Works brilliantly on my Samsung Galaxy S2.

I use the pro version of this app every day on a HTC One X and it's excellent. One tip for those who haven't already done so - reserve an IP address in your router settings for your Sonos components then you won't have to change the IP address if you reset your router. Highly recommended widget!

One of the nice things about Sonos is that it just works. Not so much with this third party app. I followed the instructions but could not get it to appear on any screen. I was able to add zones, set a zone as active, but after dragging onto a screen it would never show up. I should have started with the free version before paying for something that has been worthless so far. I'm using an HTC one x.

New patch makes this much easier to use. If you lose connection through your wifi because your sonos's ip address has changed, just use the rescan feature and it will find your sonos with the new ip. It's awesome.

Perfect together with widget locker

It didn't appear until I rebooted the tablet but connected to zone controller first time and works like at treat. Save me having to wait for the sonos app to load when I want to skip a track or change volume. Top app.

Paid, installed and it won't show up in my applications list let alone work. Please help.

Fills one if the many glaring holes in the Sonos app. Very helpful developer too. Well worth the small fee.

I use the Google music app to feed music to my Sonos system, which is better than the Sonos app except it doesn't allow for grouping. The 4x4 widget in the pro version of this app has a simple grouping function that perfectly supplements the Google music app. Just what I was looking for. Thanks!

Loving this widget :D Now I can adjust volume or playback a lot quicker than opening the Sonos app first.

save your money! preferred official app

Looks like the widgets are linked to a specific hotspot which is a real problem if you have more than one hotspot at home. For example, if you create a widget then it's automatically assigned to the hotspot you're connected to. If you then move to another hotspot then the widget just displays "disconnected". The official Sonos widget works OK in this regard. Buyers beware!

Only reason I bot this app was to get quick volume control on home screen. App won't fit in 1 line of widgets (needs 1.5 lines so has half text letters showing). Also drops connection to sonos easily. Save your 2 bucks.

Widget drops connection. Not much use if you can't use it when you need it.

Pandora album art doesn't show and there's no easy way to change the source. I would suggest using the settings gear icon for that as there really isn't a big need to change the widget settings all that often. If it loses connection you need to uninstall and reinstall to reconnect. There should be a more elegant method for fixing that issue.

No longer need to unlock my phone just to skip a track or change the volume, just do it on the lockscreen. Contacted the developer with a feature request, and it was added within days.

Works really well and looks great, especially compared to the stock sonos widgets. Only niggle is wish I could change the color for the 4x4 widget.

Bar none, this is the best way to control my Sonos out there. Just threw on the key guard widget and enjoy the simplicity of seeing what's playing, pausing and skipping songs, and adjusting the volume all from my lock screen. Developer was super responsive and helpful, pushed an update out when I had an issue (can't guarantee everyone will get that kind of support but it was super nice).

Very small issue, with the witdgets that allow album art, if you are playing Pandora radio it doesn't show any album art at all ...

It started off much better than the official widget and it gets further ahead with every update.

Never shows the latest items that are playing on my zones. Kind of pointless

This app offers more functionality than Sonos' own widget. I use it every day.
