Light Bulb Meter

This app was made as a tool to help you replace light bulbs with new LED or energy saving light bulbs that is approximately as bright as the old one.
Using the phone's ambient light sensor, it can measure the brightness of a light bulb and then present the result in a lumen interval. This lumen interval is also mapped to a corresponding value in watts of four common bulb types: incadescent, halogen, fluorescent and LED.

Both the lumen interval and the watt mapping table can then be saved to be used later, for example in the store to help you select the right replacement bulb.

The app supports two different kind of light bulbs, either the normal (omnidirectional) light bulb type, or the reflector light bulb type.

Note!
Be aware that the accuracy of the light sensor vary between different devices, and if it is too low, the app will not be able to calculate a result.
