Baby Sleep Tracker for Android
Version 2 adds the much asked for ability to add and edit times. Free to install and completely ad free!
Version 2.5 has a new darker theme to make it easier on the eyes late at night, a summary of sleep and awake times for each day and the ability to export your data.
While trying to get our baby to sleep through the night we decided to track her sleeping patterns using pen and paper. This lasted one whole night. Well, maybe half a night. Bleary eyed at 4am is no time to turn on the light, find the pen and paper and write down the time.
This handy app can run on your phone sitting on your nightstand. When your baby wakes up just hit the big "Woke Up" button, when she falls asleep hit "Fell Asleep".
That's it!

* Perfect! Bravo!! Simple and easy. Thanks! Просто и удобно. Спасибо! Обалденная полезняшка для родителей
* Very useful tool.
* Fantastic! So simple and useful... Just what I was trying and failing to monitor with a notepad.
Click on the "Charts" tab to see the visual depiction of your baby's sleep habits.
* Watch as your newborn's chaotic sleep schedule becomes your toddler's orderly sleep-through-the-night pattern.
* Find out how long each day your baby sleeps.
* Track bed times and wake up times.
* Notice patterns in night time wake ups.
* Easy to use intuitive interface for those not-so-awake moments.
* Edit existing times or add new times, useful if you don't have your phone with you when baby falls asleep.
* You can now export your data to a .csv file and open it in something like Microsoft Excel. To do so go into the Chart tab and click the "Export Data" button. If successful it will create a file called "babysleeptracker.csv" on your SD card (not inside any folders). To view this file plug your phone into your computer and it should ask you if you'd like to browse the files.
Please comment or email any suggestions for updates, and if you enjoy the app, please rate it.
It's really easy to use but I'd prefer if the charts started at a different time to be able to clearly see how my baby slept through the course of the night, the changeover at midnight confuses me while I'm half asleep haha
This app is simple and exactly what I wanted. No frills, not over complicated and easy to use. I would love to see an option for a widget for Android so that it's more accessible. That being said continue keeping it simple!
Records incorrect time even after i have edited it over and over.
Works as it should. Would be nice to be able to make difference between day and night sleep
Huge help
Wonderful
I would have given this app 5 stars if two things were better considered. Im guessing that most parents, myself included would like to know how long their little bundle actually slept for instead of having to work it out in the middle of the night. So calculating the hours both of each individual sleep and then the total of the night would be extremely helpful. The other thing is the layout of the graph. I would find it more useful to see the night/early hours all in one line as opposed by date or both perhaps? Please amend these and you would have created the perfect baby sleep tracker!
This app, although simple, is great. Saving you from the tedious search of pen and paper at late hours, allows you to track the sleep of your child. However, in case you need to go to see a doctor, would be great to be able to save the record (e.g. on pdf) to print it.
This app works if you actually hit the "fell asleep" and "woke up" buttons, but god forbid you try to edit or add an event. Even when the button for the previous date is correct, it assigns the time to an even earlier date. Overnight wake-ups which is primarily what I want to track are a pain in the butt to enter. Looking for another tracker.
It's great to have an uncomplicated app one that doesn't have everything like feeding and nappy change times! I would just say that it would be 5star if I could add notes to each time within the chart.
Charts aren't very specific. Also isn't smart enough to time correctly if you stop and start the clock around midnight. It tries to contribute the time to the wrong day. I wish it would also show you sleeping totals.
i found no other app for adults that was nearly as simple & useful. this app is easy to touch/start and touch/stop. the chart is tiny and difficult to read, and the app stops frequently - otherwise i would have given it 5stars.
Has problems with overnight records as others have said. I also really wish it at least had an option to write notes. I'd like, for example, to be able to note that we put the baby in the crib at 7:30 but she didn't fall asleep until 10. Or whatever. This seems like it should be easy, but this app ONLY lets you record start and stop times for sleep.
Love this app, it is perfect for what I need. Awesome response time when I had to ask a question because I'm sleep deprived. Yayyy!
Deletes days, adds days, etc. when trying to use it for overnight sleep timing. Can only use buttons for daytime naps, perhaps. I have to end an overnight entry at 11:59 then restart at 12:01 the next day. Still crashes and takes old entries with it sometimes. Easy to use though, and the dark screen is nice. Comparison chart is useful but maybe could be landscape sized because the print is too tiny to see.
Can't see how long the nap was & it says he was asleep for 103 hours & awake for 83 hours all in 1 day ...
Easy readable buttons allow you to log your baby's sleeping habits even at your foggiest 3am feedings! My only request is a larger log so it's easier to read baby's sleep history. But overall a GREAT app if you are interested in seeing your child's sleep pattern! Thanks!
This app is working for me, but when entering times for a previous day to the next day it can be very buggy. Especially if editing a time it added through the start stop timer. Totals for days, and sleep awake periods would be a big improvement. Graphs of sleep/awake hours would help.
Keeps moving it back a day if you use the "fell asleep yesterday" check box. You can get around this by using the "woke up next day" check box instead. It means I have to enter overnight sleep in manually, because doing it on the timer is what screws it up.
This app worked great for a few weeks, then all of a sudden naps and sleep times were being erased or moved to different days without me erasing or moving them. It can be frustrating when I'm trying to track patterns in my son's naps and night wakings .
Overall, this was exactly what I was looking for. I love the two buttons for fall asleep and wake up. The only thing I hate is how the charts switch to the next day at midnight. If I want to review my baby's total sleep from the night before I have to click on two different days and try to add just the nighttime sleep together. I really wish you could choose when your day starts over for chart purposes. I want each "day" to be from 8am to 8am because I'm primarily concerned with nighttime sleep.
Worked great for about a month but now times are being moved to different days or getting completely deleted. For all the time spent fixing it I might as well use pen and paper
I log the data using their "fell asleep" and "woke up" button only to check the chart and see the data on a day ahead. Also, I can't ever export the data and find it. Otherwise, serves its purpose.
It's easy to use, and easy to see patterns. Nice clean appearance.
Exactly what I needed to track my baby's sleep at night since I don't remember a thing in the morning. Easy to use when you're stumbling around in the middle of the night.
I really needed a quick easy and simple way to keep a sleep log for my baby. I had used a different app for my first child but it was no longer available. Decided to give this one a try. It is perfect for logging naps and night sleep and night waking. The charting feature is so useful because you can very easily and visually compare days. My only gripe would be it would be nice to be able to add notes somehow. Thank you!
Would be better if you could insert a start time rather than it being just a timer. You could then plot historic patters and also get accurate readings if you forget to hit start or can't reach your phone!
Love the total slept and awake! Could use minutes and hours though!
This app is just what I need - only trying to track sleep not everything else like some apps offer. However I've found some bugs when it comes to the entries for overnight sleep. The next day / previous day checkboxes don't always work correctly, it keeps changing the dates. I always end up deleting and reentering those times. It would also be a nice feature if you could enter your baby's age and it could look at the data and say how close you are to the recommended sleep times.
The idea is great, but when you change wake or sleep times (because you weren't able to press the button as soon as they fell asleep or woke up) it also changes the day and there is no way put it back on the correct day.
This is a great app. I ues it multiple times a day, epecially at night. So glad a total time slept has been added.
Does exactly what I need it to do: track how much my baby sleeps!
(Edited) Now you can see total hours which is great. Still, notes would be helpful, as well as more than one child (maybe in a paid version?) I like the concept of this app and it's simplicity. Large, easy to read buttons are perfect.
I love the simplicity and great hypnogram for sleep, however since updating there seems to be a bug, it really mucks up the times and day. I am forced to go in and manually add that time in everyday...even when im hitting the wake button in the morning. Also it would be great if you could fix the bug on the time..it doesnt save the time when you touch and hold the number and type it in....you literally have to use the +/- buttons every single time.
Does exactly what I need it to and show me a clear chart of when bubs sleeps/is awake.
It's much better now that you can edit the times. It is really helpful. The only thing I would change is that I would add a way to make notes. That way you know what was happening on certain days.
Sounds like the edit feature is new. Had a little trouble editing times easily. Edit/delete button are too close together and the yellow and orange colors are too similar when trying to read the chart. Found another free app that had more to it (feeding/diaper change) and can add notes easily.
Could have been exactly what I needed, but kept incorrectly recording the time I entered (samsung galaxy s)
Works great and i love that you can compare days so easily. One thing that would make it better is if it would give the sum of mins/hours the baby has been asleep.

I live this app. Easy to use and does exactly what I want. I needed something to tell me how long my son slept, what time he woke up and when he woke up. And I can manipulate the data by exporting. The only functionality I would like to see is, changing the parameter for when he first sleeps at night to when he wakes up. So I know how much time he sleeps during that period.
