Web Page Monitor for Android
There's a few websites I check regularly and this app makes it easier to k of when there is am actual update instead of manually checking the site myself.
Works on lollipop
Used it to monitor changes on university site. Set it to ignore little changes (I figure like last date site was refreshed or hit count) but it ignored everything. Update -- unfortunately I removed the app; I remember that in the list view below the link was "last update: never". Perhaps the issue was that I had to login to the page I was monitoring. But I used an chrome extension on my laptop to do the same thing and it informed me of the change when I turned on the laptop.
I believe there is a bug! Notification sound goes off when there is a change, as expected. However, notification sound stays stuck in a loop (pretty crazy). I have to deactivate the app for a minute and reactivate to be able to clear the sound. Using on Android 4.4. Please fix bug. Thanks for the app. Great app otherwise.(Edit) Email sent with detailed explanation. Let me know if you can duplicate the problem!
it is a great app. but a widget wouLd be nice.
The text differences are very hard to find. Please choose clear highlights to indicate detected changes. Better still, provide user-configurable text change highlighting/color options.
Sucks
This app could be great work some minor usability tweaks. For example, some saved pages won't keep a name change. It always reverts back to the top domain name page.
The alerts sometimes go 4 or 5 times in a row even after marking as read. There are not 4 or 5 updates during this time because the time stamp is still on the first alert.
And has a seconds option (beta)
I use this app for monitoring any changes to the commercial vehicle status for British Columbia. Perfect.
No separate 3g vs wifi schedule
Works on lollipop
new version, no bugs
It works fine nice app
Perfect
Works on lollipop
Never notified me of page updates. Set to update every minute. Drained data and battery but never told me of page updates. Uninstalled
Perfect for my needs and works just as expected with a clean easy to use interface. Good job dev/s, thank you.
But need some functions like renaming the links on the main screen and an option to log in with username and password for private pages.
can't add https://
https links dont seem to work.
Does exactly what I need, does not need a bag of permissions.
great app until now & it looks good too
The app crashed everytime I tried to open Settings.
