VRTV VR Video Player Free for Android
amazing app meets all my requirements just two issues that i faced were 1:-there should be provision to change the aspect ratio. 2:-the white line in the middle is really annoying..wish i could remove it bcoz sometimes it just appears on the sides and causes headache. plz help me on this chai.
Update: Yes, Auto-Brightness is turned off, but it still happens. Although a brightness control sounds like a great idea, I look forward to it. Original: For some reason this particular app is not compatible with an Galaxy S8. The screen goes dim when you play a video, no matter the brightness. I've tried playing the video with other VR apps and they work fine. It's a shame as this app has a simple layout, its really easy to use as well, but the brightness glitch makes the VR useless.
How to setup headset algorithm? I have asus zenfone 2 laser. I tried every algorithm but screen is not in watchable orientation.. Plz help
The USP of this app was that it played videos of a usb but with the latest version it no longer plays from USB
My standard App for VR theater viewing.
Love the app. It plays everything and you can hide the controls if you dont want to see them. Please add a screenshot of the side by side view when its not in theather mode because i thought the app only displays videos in that way.
Only VR App. I found that the remote actually is a remote and allows pause, play, ffw, rew,.! The other VR Apps only allow remote to use a cursor arrow, which by time get it to pause you pause wrong part, if you wanna watch vids on VR and utilize full control of features you want a vid player to have in 1st place, TRY THIS ONE! Thanks, perhaps in future upgrades, add feature for slow/fast speed options??
Was an awesome vr player, works well with Bluetooth controller but recent update has added an irremovable dot in the middle of the screen which messes with your eyes. Please fix..
Was great. Now it has stopped working. Videos freeze as sound continues :(
The best vr player that i have ever used.. Can watch movies like ina theatre
Great! A VR file browser was just I needed most. A bigger zoom for images would be appreciated as portrait images can't be zoom enough to view.
One of the better VR apps out there. Played various files without any issues. Good controls and easy to use.
Worst app
Definitely the best vr video player.
Best vr player app I've seen!!!
Too much satisfied...
This is the best VR file viewer I've found. The one downside is that you can't skip to the next video in the same directory during playback. It says that this is possible with the paid version, which is why I bought it. This feature didn't work on my Galaxy S5 though, which is the reason I immediately got a refund. If this feature is fixed then I will gladly purchase it again and would consider it to be a 5 star app.
Worked fine before new version. Videos are now choppy.
in menu setting key mapping not work
It's a really good player but it freezes playback for large file sizes
IT'S NOT A VR PLAYER. IT'S SETTINGS ARE NOT PERFECT
Best VR video player on the store. Can play any video 2D/3D/SBS/180/360 without any hassle. Interface is also good.
Good app use by mi note 3
The only app that is working amazingly fine in my shinecon vr.. Appreciated...
Lacks other otg support
dope
I have used so many apps so far..bt dis is is best one so far..very easy to use..biggest n coolest thing is u can stream files over the network thru Airstream n open wid VRTV n it plays smoothly..no need to copy files to device..also those files which failed to play in othr VR apps, plays well wid dis app..one issue wid VRTV app is Drift..still m tryin different combinations of head tracking algorithms..also playing 3D movies is very smooth in a theatre like environment.. No othr app gave me so mch delight.
The default settings are much better than other viewers; pretty much perfect in fact. I really like that tap centres the screen in case of drift, but I've found that this player drifts less than others, so it's rarely a problem. My only complaint is that I have to reselect the same VR settings that I almost always use everytime I open a video. It should save the settings, or better:do what other apps do and provide a 2D grid displaying all play configs so I can select it with one tap, instead of drop downs.
I tried all different VR player, some may have more features for adjustment but lacking the simplicity and fluidity when playing a high resolution 3D movie. One thing I wish for improvement is it can play regular video with VR device as other players do. That will be a plus.
Overall this is a fantastic media player, I love how it puts you in a virtual cinema. File compatibility is good for the most part, one MKV file I tried to play would work but without sound. The playback controls are really well laid out and easy to use. My biggest issue with this app has to be that it constantly tells me my phone is overheating by throwing a really annoying notification in my face. I find it strange because I have not encountered this issue on other VR media players
Was looking everywhere for an app like this and when i finally found it, it overlooked this one thing. If subtitle support was only for pro users, i'd buy it up quick. Edit: developer replied with instruction on how subs are supported. Very appreciated. Wish it supported embedded subs, but the dev is obviously dedicated to a good experience with his app. Very appreciated.
best vr app but there are few features that needs improvement. once we are playing the video, we got no control over screen brightness. There should be an option for increasing/decresing the screen size vertically. But it got only horizontal screen size control. I guess , these are the only issues . But its a best vr player i have seen so far.
The best vr video player yet, but it still lacks a few things that would make it stellar, which I would gladly pay for to support the developer. I'd like to see daydream controller support. I also would like the ability to "zoom out" when watching videos. (feature exists on whirligig for pc vr). Nice work!
Needless to say this app does exactly what it says it's going to do, but that's not what I'm here to rate. No, I'm rating something else here, and that's the developer's absolute commitment to the users of the app. He deserves more love than 99% of other devs out there, and to top it off, his product is second to none. Nice work dude(s?) and have a beer on me. I'll buy the premium version simply to support you.
Excellent app! Using daily. But disappointed where I can't plug in VLC (or may be any video player). Because watching in VLC along with audio equilizer will be pleasure for any one.Try to implement that. Great job guys
This app looks very nice and I was initially impressed, however, while using it on daydream viewer I keep running into a problem where the screen flips upside down and I am unable to flip it back. It seems to happen randomly, but it's not triggered by my using one of the functions (play, pause, ff, rw). I'm uncertain how to fix it. The video starts out right side up and then randomly within a few minutes flips.
This app is pretty great for watching downloaded videos. But even the smallest screen size is uncomfortably large. It's feels like I am sitting really close to a large TV with the edges being just outside of my vision. It is mildly infuriating. Edit: I checked the settings and they appear to be correct, I'm not getting double vision or anything. Edit 2: They fixed it. The screen is now comfortably sized.
This happens only when there are embedded subtitles(possibly just ssa/ass.), and I try to use a separate set file with it. Sometimes they play too long, skips a line or two or shows parts of a previous subtitle continuously. Remuxing the MKV without subtitles fixes this. As does using the Android MP backend option. Also, please add support for SSA/ASS subtitles! Anyways, is seriously the best VR player out of the 21 I tried!
Best VR app for watching movies. This app has more options and settings that I liked. But the main drawback is we cannot watch YouTube videos from this app. It would be nice if they add this option.

Very good. Will buy paid version (again) once it supports password authentication on network shares
