Remotedy for Android
Very responsive and pretty good overall. I miss access to Spotify playlists such as Release Radar and Discover Weekly. Other than that, it's way better on a phone than the web interfaces.
I would love if we could get the app to have a bit more of a modern theme. I love the app but if you need suggestions for a more material/modern color scheme I'd be happy to help
Could you please add support for MPD? Thanks!
Love this app, great work from the dev. Fairly new to the mopidy platform but I've tried a few different apps and web interfaces, this is by far the best. I will be donating but would like to suggest a few tweaks and features. First on a phone the three dots option menu on a track is too small, I've found that I usually start playing the track instead of what I want is to add it to the queue.maybe increase the size or a long press for the menu. The other problem is a lack of ability to create a new playlist
Potentially great but not built for mopidy-gmusic (I know that this project is looking for an active developer and thus is currently quite abandoned). However, it looks and behaves quite beautifully when using Spotify premium. Nevertheless, there I am missing a clearer separation of artist album / EPs and singles. E.g. when searching for "nosaj thing" I see the album "home" many times. Local support also seems buggy (no album art, wrong artist count etc.). Mpdroid externally queries for album artwork.
This is very close to perfect. Leaving the review at 3 stars due to a couple of issues: 0) I think it would be good to have a place to leave bug reports :) 1) When using multiple players, the player selection works (i.e. the Mopidy instance being controlled changes) but the name of the player on the top of the app never changes. This confuses things a bit. 2) The documentation states that the players need to be on the same network as the phones running Remotedy. I'd like to know why, and request a change. In my home setup, media devices and phones on WLAN are on separate VLANs, with a router inbetween. Remotedy doesn't find the players (which I can accept, even though I have an avahi daemon forwarding zeroconf data across the subnets). However, I'd like to be able to even manually add the addresses of players on a separate subnet. This doesn't currently work (and yes, the port is open on my FW). I'm even further confused by the fact that I was able to make a port forward on my FW to the Mopidy on the other subnet, and this works. This may be the cause for 1) as there are now multiple players with the same IP (but different port)
Gets very close to commercially available products (cough, sonos) in terms of usability, really love what you did with this application! To me, the only thing that could use some work is the search function: in my case it only allows me to select the Mopidy plugin to use for search after I have already initiated a search. This leads to undesirable behavior once sluggish plugins come into play - for me this is the YouTube plugin, causing search to be unusable. (Not really your app's fault though →5★)
Cannot see a way to queue up albums. And missing a bunch of other quality of life touches.
Great professional client. Would like it even more if it were libre software.
Best app for this purpose
This was already the best looking mopidy app for Android, but since the 1.1.0 upgrade it has all the missing features I was waiting for: backend filters and play queue editing! I use it with Spotify, Local and TuneIn backends. This app is everything I need. Keep up the great work!
Best looking mopidy app, for sure. It just feels very sparse in terms of features. At least at the time of writing this review Mopidy Mobile is the superior choice (even if it doesn't look as good). To be more specific not being able to edit the current playlist is very frustrating. Not being able to edit or create (static?) playlists isn't a deal breaker, but is also frustrating. I'll keep checking back on this app and looking forward to future development, but for the time being I won't be using it.
This is the best-looking Mopidy remote that works with minimal setup. I can't wait to see how this app progresses. Keep up the great work.
... but more playing queue options would be great. such as "replace queue" or the ability to remove tracks from queue... and maybe a more material design icon ;-) otherwise, it works quite well, host device was immediately found and it is a fast enough app :-)
Looks and works great, apart from it doesn't seem to cope with gmusic tracks and playlists very well, while other android clients can
Great app, worked "out of the box" - connected to Raspberry Pi running Mopidy without any problems :-) It's definitely worth donating, so large beer for you. Thanks Anders!
Where mpdroid works fine, this app just won't work for me.
Easily the best looking app that works with mopidiy!
I like the app UI, but I would like to have it integrate with the Android 5.0 lock screen by showing album art and displaying a player control notification similar to Google Music or Spotify. It does seem that the app is having problems pulling album art as well. I'd be interested in becoming a beta tester for this app.

I have a couple of problems. The three dots in play queue is near impossible to press without accidentally changing track. Should be easy to fix. Secondly the Media Style controller works well on the phone, and makes a controller pop up on Android Wear. However pushing the buttons on Android Wear (play, pause, next, previous) does nothing. Probably also an easy fix. This app is very close to perfect!
