PhoneScope - Phone Digiscoping for Android
PhoneScope locks the view in full screen mode and keeps it on (no screen blanking after a period of inactivity). This view can be pinch/zoomed.
PhoneScope provides a no-touch photo capture mode to avoid photo blurring due to shaky camera (particularly useful for high magnification image capture).
PhoneScope integrates the phone's camera to allow access to native camera controls (activity mode, focus, zoom. night modes, anti-shake, video stabilization, voice control, etc.) for capturing photos and video.
PhoneScope also integrates your phone’s media viewer app to allow viewing and access to social media for your photos and videos. For Samsung phones, this includes the ability to capture frames from video.
Features:
DISPLAY: Shows compass, camera heading and pitch, Latitude and Longitude. You can
hide the display by simply touching it; to restore simply touch the area where the display was.
The same is true for the compass, simply touch it to make it disappear; touch where it was to
restore it. If LAT/LON do not show up got to phone setting and turn location services on.
CAMERA: simply touch the camera icon to bring up your phone’s camera interface.
At any time you can navigate back to the PhoneScope main screen using your back button.
Photos and videos are saved in your Camera folder.
NO TOUCH PHOTO CAPTURE: Touch the "Touch Free" button to bring up the touch free camera mode.
Then you can capture photos by simply waving your hand in front of the
screen. Touch the "Touch Free Off" button to return to normal mode.
VIDEO: operates identically to camera
GALLERY: touch the gallery icon to bring up your phone’s viewer app. From here you can view images
and videos and share them on social media. On Samsung phones you can even capture
frames from video.
Causes upside down preview on Nexus 5X. Google recommends updating as a fix.

This app is just what I need to help me capture those photos down my spotting scope. May I make one suggestion? Please could you make it possible to switch off the Gallery icon, as it takes up a lot of screen space. Other than that, this app is just perfect for me.
