About ScanM5X Data Logger
ScanM5X is a tool OBD for the ECU Marelli M59, M5A of Italian, Ducati, Guzzi motorcycles after 2001. It need an ELM327 Bluetooth or Wifi interface and connection kit to Tyco 3pins and need a motorcycle 12V power.
Reminder: the contact will be ON, less than 10sec before launching the app.
ScanM5X stores No. Id of each ELM-BT/Wifi already connected once and automatically connects
ScanM5X displays the values of the sensors in real time.
- displays sensors
- logs data in file
- displays and erase DTC
- runs standard Active Tests
- Reset Service lamp
- Reset TPS
- Change the trimmer (for ECU without lambda Sensor)
- displays status (side stand, Run/Stop)
ScanM5X is a diagnostic and tuning tool, they should not be used during the trip.
Need:
Fiat 3pin Alfa Lancia to 16 Pin Diagnostic Cable obd2
and
ELM327 OBDII V1.4 Bluetooth Diagnostic Interface OBD2 or ELM327 VGate Bluetooth OBD-II OBD2 or ELM327 Wifi.
Caution : it doesnt work with some ELM like Super Mini V2.1.

I normally dont write reviews but, this program is awesome im able to reset tps adjust trimmer and turn of pesky service lamp, top stuff 5 stars, just need a reflashing app to change to dp fuel maps...

Used BT adapter by Kommeni. Took a couple attempts to connect Pw:1234. Web page has a very good manual. Cleared service wrench on my 848 sf. Turn key off for 30 sec after pressing CLEAR SERVICE button in RESET menu. Wrench be gone!!

Have tried this app on an 848 and a 1098. Have used 3 different Bluetooth readers and two different devices all with the same result, "waiting for elm" then suggests "I check wires" and turn ignition off and on.

With wireless real-time 'on-the-road' Data Logging functionality on an Android mobile device, ScanM5X is THE alternative for expensive commercial hardware solutions for performance tuning. I am using the app for several weeks now. The Bluetooth connection is established within a few seconds and remains very stable. Also the other functions such as CO Timmer and TPS Reset are very handy and simple to use. No need anymore for a laptop and cable connection(s). Just take your smartphone and do your thing!

Did the service display on the fathers 1098S. Once bluetooth was found. Worked a treat. Happy with this app. One of the few I've downloaded that's works well.

Plug and play alternative to JPDiag etc. Not complicated, clears service light, resets tps, tests, logs etc etc. Takes a minute to install once fairing is off. Don't pay the dealer, get this! Many thanks to the creator!

WARNING: ELM clones lie about their version! ("AT Z" => "ELM v2.1" command response can be FAKED) ScanM5x requires ELM clone with >1.4 functionality. ELM only made 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.4b, 2.0, and 2.1. Everything else is FAKE. Run the following commands to find what version functionality you actually have: Compatibility Command Expected reply version 1.2+ ATKW0 OK version 1.3+ ATS0 OK version 1.3a+ ATFE OK version 1.4+ ATSS OK version 1.4a + ATCSM1 OK version 2.0+ ATAMT 40 OK version 2.1 ATCTM1 OK APP: This is a very excellent app, and the fact it is free/freely supported is amazing. Author is incredibly supportive and I highly recommend donating or contributing more information so the app can become even better.
