Guitar Fretboard Addict for Android
Basically if you do this for about an hour a day you will eventually know all the notes in all positions on the fretboard. If you want to do scales, simple, just set it up to exclude the notes outside of the scale you want to learn. Chords? Inversions? No problem, same technique applies. But, be warned, if you lack discipline you will fail as all others have failed before you and you will only play "wild thing" and "house of the rising sun" forever instead of epic freestyle solos like me. peace.
I would like to learn all Natural notes first on one string. Then second....and so on. By learning naturals you can go up one or down for Sharps and Flats. You don't have that function . I feel It would help. Make Option interchangable.
Please horizontally flip the strings/fretboard image so that the thick E string is on the right hand side of the screen. The current version is quite confusing as the right-handed view of the strings/fretboard remains after selecting the left-handed option.
this app works correctly on my tablet.. However on Note 5 all notes appears totally out of order horizontally and frets. possibly a resolution problem. I can send a photo if you want.
I was really excited to find a fretboard app that actually incorporates musical notation. Unfortunately this one did not work with my Samsung S5 running Android 5.0. All answers are marked as incorrect even when obviously answered correctly.
Only thing I wish you could change is length of the round.
Awesome tool for learning the notes on the fretboard efficiently.
There is nothing on the market like this. Say I just want to practice note A, B, C, D, I can customise to have only those notes appeared in the practice. I would like to learn gradually instead of having all the notes thrown at me. Great apps if you want to learn slowly and design your own lessons. Can't wait to see the next update, thanks for this awesome app!

Not bad way of learning a guitar fretboard half an hour a day you should master it in a couple of weeks
Good app but a little difficult to set up to use.
Obviously not updated yet to format correctly on the Mega screen, but works flawlessly on Tab 2.
Although memorizing the notes of the entire fretboard are seen by some as either worthless or simple - the fact is that it's not a simple as just counting letters.. this tool builds instincts and will allow you to KNOW the notes.. only then can one understand -let alone create music.. great work Devs!
Great learning and teaching app
In general very well designed; a few of its strong points in my view are: 1) this app is aware of cultures outside the USA ! i.e. the user can choose between C-D-E-... notation or DO-RE-MI-... notation (although such a BASIC feature, many apps don't offer the choice) 2) the user can choose which string(s) he will learn/train first, which enables a very gradually progress 3) the user can choose to only train with sounding the notes, or with sounding the notes and displaying the note on a music staff, or displaying the note name as well 4) the user can also choose to learn/train by fret(s), rather than by string(s) Improvement points are hard to find, I'll mention just these: 1) it would be nice to let the user choose between portrait or landscape view; currently the user is always forced into .... portrait view 2) it would be "nice" to provide a real "Exit-the-program" function, until now the only way I found to really stop the app is by going to the Android Task Manager and choose EXIT in there. Using it about a week now
Fretboard addict is so excellent. If there is anyone who has a real good reason to be dissatisfied, I would personally give them a refund and I am very serious. I have been using this program for years before I even switched to Android. Thanks again Mr. Rylee, awesome program. I rate it 5+ stars and 110%.
As a beginner to guitar but not music I find this app invaluable. Great for learning when you haven't got your guitar with you. Would give it 6 stars if you could put a variable time limit on giving the answers. :-)
Have found this app to be extremely helpful in learning how to read music and translating the notes to the guitar .
Works for me:-). it's not flashy but I can practice reading the music and finding the note on the guitar frets. Better than others I've tried.
Love it love it!
Great app. Worth the purchase. Really helping me learn fret board. Customize games helps find a learning technique which suits me.
Finally works for galaxy note
Great app

The frets do not match the image on a galaxy s7. This app is useless if the notes are wrong.
