Display brightness (Pro)

Awesome brightness controller. But a few features are missing: to turn off the indicator bar when a specific app starts and negative brightness is not dimming the onscreen button area, which defeats the purpose of negative brightness. But otherwise, Congrats!

Can someone please tell me how to disable this on the lock screen? It keeps the screen awake if I get a notification and drains my battery. If you could please add a setting, I'd donate even more through PayPal!

I can't add permissions to an app (due to system overlay warning) without going into this app twice each time - to disable/enable the indicator. There needs to be an option to hold indicator to disable for a minute.

After using this app for only a little bit, I'm not sure how I could live without it!

It's a mystery to me how this is not one of the most popular apps out there. It takes a bit injuriously to set up (and to understand what is what), but once you get it running you can't do without it.

Just make the slider easy to move from one edge or top/bottom without going into settings and 5 stars are yours. Well worth 8 crowns anyway.... Cheers dude

I love the app, but why is it still trying to collect usage data even on the paid version? I upgraded from free to avoid this. Fine for the free version, but please remove this permission from the paid one

One of those simple, indispensable apps you take so much for granted you forget it isn't part of stock Android

Could not do without it.

The latest update is dreadful - screen randomly doesn't come on at all after the blank timeout has turned it off, phone reboots randomly. Uninstalled. Please restore the previous version. Update: emailed the developer, no reply. Avoid until fixed.

This is an extremely useful application that allows quick and easy modification of the display brightness without going into a special screen. And I've used it for quite some time and it operates flawlessly! Great job

Does what it says

It keeps closing on its own accord, Android seems to be shutting it down. Using 5.1.1 on Galaxy S6

Have a couple of device that the auto brightness is too dim. This works perfectly and it's design and function is awesome.

Exactly what I was looking for. Unobtrusive but always available. Autohide is excellent and keeps screen uncluttered. Configurability is the best part of this useful utility. I am installing on all my Android devices (and donating!). Highly Recommended.

I really like the fact that I can increase the brightness even from the locked screen. If I forget to set it before I go outside, I can still slide my finger across the top center of the screen, and WAM! I've got a visible screen again. Would like to see it run in the background so it doesn't show up in the task manager. Then it would feel like part of the OS.

Brightness bar is disappeared each time I'm locked my phone. I bought it and have no idea what to do now. I have rooted Lenovo s860.

Use this app @ simply every phone/tablet interaction I have. You simply can't go wrong. This app is like second nature, and I find myself reaching for it all the time. Its among the first I install anytime I flash, wipe, etc. Be cool if it came with a flashable zip option or import/export feature; however, as a long time user, I honestly believe its about as good as it gets...w/or w/out those features. Thanks dev.

My LG Optimus F7 doesn't have auto-brightness capability and I got tired of using the presets toggle or going into settings to get to the slider many times throughout the day and night. This app solves the problem. You can put a slider right on the notification bar (if you want to) and adjust position,, size and color and also set it to auto-hide. This app was very well thought out and I went for the donation version as soon as I was able to make sure it was going to work reliably. If you don't have or don't like to use auto-brightness to let the phone automatically adjust the screen brightness, this app is an excellent solution for allowing you to easily adjust it any time you need to. Well done Dev! I don't often give 5 star ratings, but I can't find any reason to deduct any stars..

Why does the Exclude List not work? On MX Player I should be able to use the in-app adjuster, but Display Brightness stops it from working. This is REALLY ANNOYING, having to manually change the brightness coming in and out of video apps.

First of all, round of applause to the developer, you are genius! This app is a perfect example of the meaning of being able to tweak android settings to get maximum use and thuss makes that gap between android and apple even wider. Ive been using this app for about 5 years now and adjust the volume many many times a day.. you have saved us all alot of battery power haha.. we love you!! Keep it up.. ohh and now with neggative brightness you are just taking things to a whole new level!!! Wonderful!

I was skeptical the bar thing was a gimmick, but I really like it.

I have used this app on several phones over the years (MotoX DV now). Don't understand why it is not an option standard. I'm constantly using the slider to adjust my display. Note that it may be a bit confusing looking at the setup first time, but we'll worth the time to set up a placement and size to work for you. I have always liked the top of screen with the delay set to on.

Works great and the customization is incredible. Nexus 5. It would be nice if the flashing bulb on wake up would not be there.

I absolutely Love this app! Its one of the most useful & dependable apps I have. Im always trying new apps & came across this one. Now I cant live without! Thought I should purchase after using free version for sometime.I dont purchase apps often, but this is worth the $...thanx 2 dev!

I've used the free version of this for way too long. Since it could well be the app that gets used the most on both my droid Turbo and my nexus 7 tablet, I figured that one dollar is a real bargain. As useful as it is for making quick and effortless screen brightness tweaks, I would easily pay more.
