Radio Reconnect is a simply programm that has one function: disable and then enable mobile network connection. Work of other services like Wi-Fi or bluetooth not interrupted.
It will be useful when data connection are not connecting. If before you used airplane mode to fix this problem, now it is easy to fix by run Radio Reconnect.
Program has no windows and working in background. When all operations are completed (about 10 seconds), program closes automatically.
!For Android 2.3 and late programm requires root.
Note for Android 2.3 and late: During automatical install in system/app an error may occur. Dont worry about this, just uninstall application and restart your device. Program will appear in menu.
Note 2 for Android 2.3 and late (manual install as system):
If you have troubles with automatically install application to system app folder, please use this instructions:
1) Install Radio Reconnect from Android Market
2) Find Radio Reconnect apk file in /data/app/ (using Root Explorer and etc)
3) Copy apk file to SD card
4) Remove Radio Reconnect from device
5) Remount system partion for read and write (using Root Explorer, Terminal with command "mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system" or using ADB "remount" command)
6) Copy apk file from SD card to /system/app (using Root Explorer and etc)
7) Restart your device

Unlike those apps that turn airplane mode on and then back off, this one just toggles the mobile phone radio. Tethering and Bluetooth are not affected.

Couldn't rate it bad because accurate description, but it really seems like this could be done without root, like an airplane mode widget that turned off then on with one tap.

After first launch requested to move to system/app, asked five times superuser about root, then FC. But all is OK, after uninstall and reboot works well. При первом запуске предложила переписаться в system/app, пять раз спросила root у superuser, потом FC. Но переписалась, после удаления ее через Manage applications и перезагрузки работает, свое дело делает.

I was installing and uninstalling different apps that claim to boost or repair network signals. Most just turn on airplane mode. My signal all of a sudden was lost and didn't come back even after a reboot. Once I installed this app and did what it said, I got my signal back. Great job with no permissions other than root access with a small app size. Update: this is not working anymore and I can't get a connection or uninstall.

so after i realized this wasn't what i needed....is there an easy way to uninstall the app now that it is in the system folder? all i see is the option to disable but no option to remove.

After installing a ROM my phone liked to not receive messages from anyone for long periods of time, not even airplane mode would fix it. This app worked though, simple one click solution. Thanks a lot dev! rooted s3
