Linux Deploy

It's pretty good at what it does, though there seems to be an issue where if you mount and unmount the image, something breaks and new incoming ssh connections (with Termux, for example) can't be made. The problem fixes itself if you reboot or remount it, so I'm guessing some part of the unmounting process does more than it should.

i always get errors while downloading kali linux through this app, plz improve Linux deploy.

Good app . Works good. But everything stops responding when stopping the app.I need to restart my phone too make it work again.

It works really well but its not the easiest to configure. The system setting button down on the bottom right should be replaced with a different icon. But once you set the img to the right directory and hit install I has debian up and running accessed with vnc . great app

It create a problem in installation it say Making new disk image (512 MB) ... fail

I tried to install ubuntu using this app and was unsuccessful. I then rebooted it only to find the graphics drivers had been destroyed beyond repair, I can't even factory reset it as the reset menu is not displayed. My phone is now an expensive brick.

Installed arch Linux now terminal will not open. "Error opening terminal". Not very helpful, also no documentation so not sure what to do now.... UPDATE - had another go at using this app to install Arch Linux and again another fail. Cannot connect to install with built-in terminal as it won't launch. SSH and VNC won't connect either. Disappointed

Does this really work? I own a Samsung I got from Verison and I heard that if I root my phone then they will cut my service and according to the steps I'm going to have to root my phone and I wanna know what I'm getting into.

In previous versions of linux deploy I didn't used to get black white screen with a cursor crossed.But not it had spoiled the old working img file I can't use it now

1. If you don't have root, don't leave a bad review. Learn to read instead. 2. If you don't know what processor architecture is, don't install it! 3. If you cannot recover from a softbrick, and you're rooted; think again, and get custom recovery first! 4. Always do complete research before flashing anything! Now that I have covered common sense; I have read a ton of reviews stating that this app is broken, that is simply not true, and most likely user error. The app is very well polished, and works great. You can't install an x86 os to an ARM device; because, common sense. X86 packages are included because there is a significant amount of Android phones with intel atom processors. Do your research and install a proper build for your device and you'll be set. Some phones take other flavors better than some. This happens when you homebrew. Due to the open source nature of everything included here, support is unlimited and free! Once I finally found where the ip is shown, there isn't even enough room to actually show it so you can't know the ip to ssh into it. SSH also disconnects me randomly even though wakelock is enabled and I am not using battery saving apps or features. It is like the developer wanted to make this difficult. Still is nice to have though.

Was able to get previous version working with great difficulty. This one, I keep getting Missing parameters: TARGET_PATH on hitting Configure. Is this the path to an image file? Because I have the path set to that correctly. Any ideas?

Love it. Very useful if you want to run Linux distributions. Better than that "Other" app, if you know what I'm talking about. No ads, no hassle. Just know what you're doing.

Now That is A Greatly Easy and Effective Way To Run Linux app.This Could be made better with an Internal Terminal,Vnc viewer And Ssh Server along with Auto Busybox Installer and a Nice UI.The Complete Package.One More Thing add External Monitor mode Support for Seleceted Chipsets Like Pcap Capturing and Network Testing.Good Work Could be Great.

Absolutely awesome. Makes using full fledged distros really easy. My phone feels half dead without this.

What if I used full space of disk and my phone have more space how to add more space of my device to disk.
