Compass - widget

Does what it says. Some people complain because their phone doesn't have a compass and they haven't checked the settings. It works great if your phone already has a stock compass app. But if your phone doesn't have a built in digital compass module then you need to use accelerometer mode. This widget works great.

Doesn't work on Samsung S8. Is also very twitchy. Constantly showed NORTH pointing due west.

I rarely give one star. Pros: my phone didn't crash or catch fire. Cons: display is all but unless 'cause it's so subdued; flashing ads; another -- full-screen ad -- upon closing / exiting.

For some reason the compass widget does not work. I tried this app on three different devices and it does not work on any of them.

Ads are intrusive and annoying.

I have not experienced any of the problems that are claimed below. It shows north accurately. I also like the simple graphic. This is ideal if you want to have a little compass always on your home screen. Nice work.Thank you.

When you first place the widget it works for a while but becomes static after a while. When you press the widget it opens full screen, and the compass works, but as when you close it, the widget remains where it was. In short, the widget doesn't work.

The opened app is alright but the needle isnt smooth. I downloaded this for the widget but the widget was worse. It was far from smooth and the needle lept alternating between north and the actual north direction even when i placed my samsung S3 on the table. Fix the smoothness and the glitch please. My phone has a builtin magnet field sensor and all other compass works well but this one. I find the app "compass pro" is the best non widget compass on the market

We installed this app on 2 cells and compared readings for mag. North. Approx 20 deg. Diff. Why? Great display!

The widget becomes static after a while, what's the use of a static compass?
