This app has all the features one needs to race a sailboat. I would be willing to pay high dollar for this app if it were stable. Unfortunately and too often I am in the middle of a race and the app notifies me of a violent crash when all I need is current velocity. Beta expires next month but not willing to pay for this until it is stable. One more issue, the iPhone version bears no resemblance.

Used the app for a leasurely sailing trip today. Used the speed and distance indicators, and they worked beautifully. Im hoping for this to turn into a sailing log system. I would pay good money if I could log each stretch of a journey, with distance, avg, min, and max spd, etc - and maybe even a map plotting the trip. As is, I would continue using it at a fair price in lack of an onboard gps.

Extra help/detail if you push menu button? Not helpful for Samsung S5. No menu button unless it's within the app. Is it? If so, where do I find it? Similar issue to apps like Boatie. Long push on bottom LH button to get menu options results in error message "does not support split screen". Price it sensibly and you will be on to a winner. Volume sales will outdo high price. Will you set up databases of marks for the major racing regions such as the Solent in UK? Do you need local input to do this for you?

Fantastic app has been using it for the last 3 years for inland sailing. ..almost need no other instruments and can go back and check on track sailed.

T70%
by T####:

Has potential but needs to allow the race to include the same mark more than once. Recent race here was 0 to 2 to 4 to 2 to 6 to 0. This app can't.

Lacks use of yacht main input instruments. Getting data via wifi would be great.

Crashes constantly when opening a bigger gpx track from a race over several 3.5 hours. The files is not stored properly and can not be opened or used in this program and not in any other program.

Used to be a great app., but recently keep crashing upon loading gpx track. Also the VMG to Mark function is not working. Always stuck to Mark 1 only, even I set mark 2 or 3 as my next buoy.

Works so well, my favourite app for starting and tracking speed/course. Not to hard on the battery either!

Great UI. LOVE OPTIONS esp set wind direction head to wind or sailing to windward. Current great too.

Great app in general, but can be better if: 1) Voice notification on VMG, COURSE, WAYPOINTS, etc so we don't have to take a look at the phone during race. 2) bouy rounding direction eg. Port / Starboard.

I hope that when the beta phase is finished there is a second beta phase so that I can give feedback. .. in the interests of improving this Amazing app. Can't wait#

Hi. This worked awesome on my note 2 and really liked seeing the track at the end of the day to see where my highest speeds were. However since i upgradeed to a note 4 it is not possible to see tracks as the button for the menu is not on a note 4. Or am i missing something? Edit: ok i found tracks on the stopwatch screen but can you tell me how to get the rest of the settings on a note 4?

Simple program but sometimes quit recording the track. The email transfer of track data failed with no attachement. However, Bluetooth transfer works fine. Much room to improve to handle the track data and visualizing them. Battery seems running out sooner than expected. Thanks to the development team! Keep up the good work!

It has got everything it should to be useful, with some minor issues. I used it several times in club races. The biggest problem that occurred and effectively killed the app was the fact that it would not acknowledge passing a particular mark or even start line. Can be solved easily by adding a button that does manual acknowledgement.

Great program I think you guys should do just a start watch for the samsung gear 2. Would get a heap of downloads I'm sure

Used it for the first time yesterday. Big graphics and loud start time beep. Turned off screen to save battery and also will not open up saved gpx track. Keeps crashing but would think an update will fix this easily.

Add an option for a race start countdown to a time on the phone clock, for example, start time in a pursuit race is 13:27 hours.

Wish it was easier to set marks on the fly. On the water experience has not lived up to my hopes.

Used it once so far. Still getting used to the controls. Would live to have the ability to select the course prior to the start. We often run an "F" course ( 1,2,3,1,3, finish) so the ability to set this ahead of time would be a big plus.

This is a tremendous app for racing. If this doesn't improve my overall standings, I'm not sure what will. Would like to see some more inter-team communication features.

Works pretty well. Is there a way to disable GPS quality notifications in the app? It just spams me with notifications when backgrounded.

I've tried to use this in a club regatta twice now, with limited success. I have a couple of observations and suggestions for improvement. First the observations; 1 - building a race course doesn't seem to be as straight forward as intended. For example, when on the course, pointing the device and assigning RC & Pin for start line is a good idea, however distance is subjective. I have not yet had a race comittee send me coordinates for any race as of yet... Another issue with creating the course in the app is the "From bouy database" doesn't work. I get the "Bouy with specified name already exists" warning when I attempt to select and save. 2 - my location is NEVER in the correct place. when I select "map/chart" view, it opens 90 or more miles from my current position. As for the improvements; 1 - a compass with sighting through the camera / viewfinder would be great for sighting and marking pin & comittee boats. 2 - having some apparent wind overlay would be good 3 - having a "time to line" meter would be great too. By the way, everyone I've shown this to at the club loves it! Thanks , RG

Like the app, easy to use. sometimes the screen is hard to swipe, but that is likely my phone. The GPS tracks keeps crashing- biggest down!
