Japanese Mahjong Calculator

Very good app, but there needs to ba a paid version with no ads. Me myself and many other people would love to appreciate your work. Plus, a honba counter should be added.

Need a little learning to use it first, but other than that, it's a great app.

UI is a bit confusing (exposed vs concealed, winning tile) but once you get it, the app is very simple/useful.

You should add a Aotenjou mode for it if possible. Sometimes I play it with my friends tends to get complicated to calculate the points some times

This is the app of choice for our weekly riichi tournaments.

I believe that I'm not wrong when I say that when you win by Rinshan Kaihô you don't get the 2 fu for tsumo win. At least that's what my japanese mahjong book says... I hope I'm not mistaken. It would be cool to have an option to see the japanese kanji instead of rômaji or english terms. Also there's no real need to add a honba count method, but it may simplify things for some people. EDIT: I saw too that sometimes having a pair with both seat and round wind, only nets you 2 fu and not 4 fu...

Loved the app. So good for calculating points, but I would like to have the japanese characters version... How do I download it? You also should have a aotenjou system for those who like to play it...

This app is so easy to use! It provides you two different calculation methods. Also, great for learning how to count points since it breaks down the score of the hand.

Just what I needed! Counting scores is too difficult in this game. But I didn't see how to calculate a hand with riichi.

Only thing that is odd to me is why concealed kan is own button when others don't have concelead version buttons? Why concealed isn't a modifier button setting all sets declared after setting modifier concealed?

Why was this almost 200 apps down the list when I searched for mahjong calculator? I had to scroll through so many solitaire games to get here... Anyway, it's a mahjong hand calculator that can also tell you your waits, though I probably won't use that, and is in English. The only thing I could ask for would be a clearer indication that additional settings are off to the side and you can swipe to reach them. A little disappointed it doesn't score past double yakuman, but I'll manage.

Been playing riichi mahjong for the last 5 years weekly. But we never counted the points correctly cause it's so time consuming to. And you can always make mistakes. This app is awesome cos it doesn't only give you the points, but teaches you how to count for it gives you the fu, han & yaku. So if you pass up smth it'll remind you. My mahjong nights will be more enjoyable now knowing we're doing it right.

Works extremely well on both my Galaxy Nexus and my Nexus 7 2013. A tablet interface would be nice but not necessary. The only qualm I have with it is how oddly things seem to be laid out. Lots of white space on the bottoms. Other than that, I love the Holo style of this app. Cards look great, as do the tile icons. If only there were an actual riichi app as good looking as this one...
