Nocturnal

Nocturnal is designed with astronomy on mind and provides two basic modes. It turns your phone or tablet into a bedside clock when in landscape mode and into a weather station when in portrait mode.

The clock computes rise and set times in that it requires your coordinates which need to be entered manually (to avoid GPS permission for your privacy).

Clocks with second hands are usually consuming much power. A power save mode darkens the screen to a minimum and disables seconds while relieving the timer virtually 60-fold. Nevertheless, the mobile device is better docked on a charger.

When rotated to portrait orientation the screen changes to a green LCD showing a weather icon, temperature, humidity and time provided online by the weather station nearest to the specified coordinates.

INTERNET required for getting weather data, no data is sent out.
