About Encryptopad

A reader and editor for encrypted text files, compatible with the file format of Encrypted Notepad Extended, a desktop program for Java. The encryption is secure and safe. The source is open. A desktop version is available from the program homepage.

This is a very convenient way to store secret information, like passwords or access codes. No external encryption service is needed.

Files can be stored in Dropbox folders, and the editor will start from there, or from any other file manager.

WIN *strong encryption *no nonsense (location, weather, mood, photos etc.) *backup to cloud (or anywhere) *compatible desktop software UPDATE: Syncing could be simpler. It took me a little poking around to realize that you can't open your etxt file from dropbox. You have to do it through the file manager in the app. OK. Also for some reason after editing on the desktop, saving to dropbox it took several attempts to see the updates on my tablet. Still a huge win! I've been looking for a SIMPLE encrypted journal application. I tried memoires but it has TOO many bells and whistles. I then found encrypted notepad by Ivan Voras. Excellent but it had no clear means of backup. Encryptopad has all of the simplicity of Encrypted Notepad (and is based on the same code) with a simple file manager.
