Remote Control for Vizio TV

My children have lost and broken my remote a couple times. This is a great backup!!

So i need to get new batteries for my remote so I downloaded this. It looks just like my remote and it worked perfect. No setup needed. I give it 4 stars because there did not seem to be a text input function and the real remote has a keyboard.

Info and Menu are mixed up with some other functions. Please fix. Thanks

Not working on my Samsung GS4. The Peel app however is.

But the ads are getting to be unbearable!

Did a random search for vizio and found this remote and Danny glad I did since my rabbit ate allegedly the buttons off of my physical remote lol. Exact remote too that I needed to replace same buttons and functions . Thanks

It would be perfect but I am getting really sick of having to watch a 20 sec advertisement everytime I need to use the remote.

Dowloaded the app but it would not turn on the tv.

Great program but I'm not watching a 15 second commercial just to change a channel. I can close it and open peel in that time.

Loading ads takes a long time, sometimes just spins and spins, so annoying

However this app is NOT available for galaxy s7 this is such a great app I wish I could use it with my new phone can't find an app to connect to it since it's a bit older. But great app if you can get it!! Lucky I kept my old phone so I can use it as a remote lol

Installed in seconds and it just works! No setup or anything, worked great to mute the annoying TV in my dentist's office :-D thank you LG for including an IR blaster on the LG20!

I had no idea this could actually work, but apparently the S4 has an ir emitter, because with it and this app I can control the TV! It is fairly sensitive to having the phone pointed at the right spot on the tv. Wow, I didn't think this was possible.

It's an amazing app! I love having it especially when I lose my remote. I just hate how sometimes when I open the app it just keeps saying loading. No matter how many times I close the app it never stops I eventually have to Uninstall and reinstall. Really great app other then the ads that mess it up.

I love the remote, as I don't lose my phone... it occasionally works with my Vizio soundbar. It's annoying to not be able to turn volume up and down. I would pay for a ad free version though, get working on it Vizio! All we buy is Vizio!

Pretty much sums it all up. Only con is ads, which can get annoying. But it's free so I can't complain.

My Vizo tv remote just broke. This app has been so helpful until I am able to get a new one. No lag on buttons, works perfectly. I highly recommended this app to others.

Best app! At first I thought it wasent gona work. (Most "tool" apps don't work) My Vizio TV remote does not work so I tryed this app out. I want to thank npe for this app.

Putting in a password to log into any account with this app is gruesomely long. The buttons are too close together and you constantly press on an unwanted key. It does the job but prepare to get used to it.

This app used to be good, but ever since the last update from 1.0.16 to 1.0.21 it no longer works in areas with no network access because the Ad Module requires network access and must load before you can even use the remote. I installed this app over a year ago to use with a Vizio TV for which the remote control was lost. This TV is in an area for which there is no network access. So if I try to load the remote, it just sits there spinning and saying "Loading" unless I go outside holding the phone high to try to catch a signal. Only then will the Ad Module load, then I can go back inside to use the TV. Thankfully this is not my home TV.

When you loose the TV remote and your so lazy you just download an app

Every button does what it's supposed to, except for the menu button, which does nothing. Also, I'd be willing to pay for a premium version so I don't have to see the ads.

10 minutes of waiting for this last ad to load before I could use the remote. Kinda annoying. Otherwise it's a great app. Please make an ad free version. I'd pay a buck or two.

Video ads? Really? Was a great app until video ads became its thing. Nothing worse than just wanting to turn down the TV volume but you have to see and listen to an ad first.

This does not work on my vizio tv doesnt even attempt to set to tv and each tv even with the same name has a different code. When long into app there is a remote i hit power alot then turned phone off and back on and still didnt work

Worked straight away but noticed menu button doesn't pull up the menu. It said contains ads but havnt seen any yet. This apps definitely worth $

Why not make it a universal remote? Maybe it's a lot more complicated, I don't know, but you can't buy a TV only remote, so why build a TV only app?? I get that it would come with a TV only, but just like that TV remote it would be left in favor of a universal.

I've installed this on three different phones and followed the instructions about pointing IR blaster at tv and it will not work. I uninstalled as soon as I posted this review.

App opened, but nothing happened on the tv when I pushed the buttons. I couldn't find any set up instructions.

The remote that came with my Vizio is horrible. Finally I can change channels with ONE push of a button.

I use this app on an older Samsung Note 3, it works perfectly and looks identical to the remote that came with my TV. I recently also upgraded to a Samsung Note 7, Android 6.01.1, and it would not let me install this app, it stated that it is not compatible with that device. Can you please help???

Works Awesome. Just wish it didn't show so many adds of girls. Makes my wife think I was watching porn.

I take care of an elderly man with alzhiemers and he loses the remote. He also sleeps a lot, I rely on TV to get through shift lol. Downloaded this and worked just fine. Made my day!

I got this after finding out the v cast app for new vizio monitors is awful.

This app is really great. I've been trying to find a remote app that actually has a tv media menu button that actually works and isn't just there for show. Thank you npe. Would definitely pay for an ad-free version of this app. Edit: Please consider adding a keyboard to the app in a future update. This is preventing me from signing into the apps on my tv.

Peel smart remote lacks any way to change wide-screen settings. This app let me configure my Wii to fill the entire screen of my vizio.
