Quick Start
This quick start quide assumes your TiVo(R) is connected to your home network. This means you need a network cable or wireless TiVo adapter connected to your TiVo and configured properly. Please see your TiVo documentation for more information.
1) Connect to Wi-Fi
The device running RCX must be connected to the same network as the TiVo®. Typically this means the device must be connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
2) Enable "Network Remote Control"
Enable the "Network Remote Control" setting on the TiVo. Do this by navigating the TiVo menu to "Settings & MessagesSettingsRemote, Cable Card & DevicesNetwork Remote Control".
3) Add the TiVo network IP address to RCX
Your TiVo network address must be added to RCX. To find the TiVo network IP address navigate the TiVo menu to "Settings & MessagesSettingsNetwork & Phone". The TiVo network IP address should be displayed. Tap the "gear" icon in RCX, choose "TiVo DVRs" then tap the "Add TiVo" button and enter the information requested. Alternatively you can choose "TiVo DVRs" and use the "Scan" button to try to automatically identify your TiVo's IP address.
Notes
- The TiVo web site accessed from the RCX menu can be changed in the options. This is particularly useful if you live outside the US.
- TV volume and input cannot be controlled by the TiVo itself and this app can't do it either. The TiVo remote uses infrared which nearly all android devices lack.

This is a perfect replacement for the standard tivo remote with the added feature of remote scheduling and a whole lot cheaper then the price of a new remote

Nice app that does what it says. Large buttons & clear layout. Near instantaneous response to commands. The last update allowed use of the phone's default QWERTY keyboard. Also added a My Shows button. :-) Works perfectly with UK Virgin Tivo box. Love it.

Worked fine until I had to re-install it and then I couldn't get it to work...until I realised you must have your router and Tivo box hard wired with an Ethernet cable before the Tivo box can identify the router's Ethernet connection and assign it an IP address. You do that through Settings, Network Connections, Change network settings, Let the TiVo box assign itself an IP address. You can then see the IP address that has been assigned to the Ethernet connection and enter that into the RCX app. Then it works just fine!

The Channel Surf & Watch TV Trackpads needs some tweeking to work as they are supposed to. But there wad a TiVo app on the market that you could have made your own shortcuts for TiVo...byt has since been taken off Google Play for some reason. If the creator fixes the issues and bugs listed with the trackpads I would give it a 5 Star rating.

Scan feature did not work was unable to input manual settings help feature did not include gateway IP address or Ethernet both did not work and there was no information on port selection i am in UK and would like my money back

Had VM Tivo installed yesterday, tried the free version just to confirm it worked ok - which it did, so upgraded to the paid version. Nice app, easy to use and deserving of the 5* ratings, so adding mine to the list :)

Extremely responsive controls and, unlike the official app, no waiting to "connect" every time the app comes to the foreground. The redesign greatly improves usability. I don't even bother with the official app anymore. Well worth the purchase price.

Worth it for the keyboard feature alone ... using the origional remote to perform a search task is soooo irritating and time consuming plus I can now control my virgin tivo from my tab 2.... nice

Great app and cheap but it needs an on and off button so I don't have to drag my fat arse off the sofa ???? please put this button on and I will 5 star it easily
