Presenter for Android
crashes on OSX Yosemite
It does function as intended. I was able to install and connect via bluetooth with no problems. It moves slides back and forth with no problem. The reasons for only 3 stars are as follows: 1. It causes my device to vibrate each time I change slides. I would like the option to turn this off. 2. I am unable to access the Preferences. Each time I attempt to do so, I receive an error message 'Unfortunately, Presenter has stopped' and the application shuts down. I emailed the developer about this yesterday but have not yet received a response. 3. As another reviewer mentioned, it does eat battery like crazy. I had a full charge this morning and attempted to use it for an all day meeting today. By 2PM my phone battery was dead. One suggestion here - have the app put the phone in airplane mode when started. This may help preserve battery & I don't want to receive calls/emails while presenting anyway. 4. It seems to timeout if you go for a period of time without changing slides and you receive the 'Unfortunately,Presenter has stopped.' error that causes the app to shut down. It doesn't take too long to log back in, but it is extremely annoying to do this mid-presentation
Do not recommend. Using phone as clicker is awkward because my phone is large and expensive (evo), and holding a laser pointer then requires 2 hands.
This app works as it says. Looks great, very easy to use. Love it.
Does exactly as it says with Keynote and Preview (for PDFs) on OSX and integrates pretty well on the HTC Thunderbolt running Cyanogenmod. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks guys!
It was hard to find particularly this one, I tried almost every presenter on market, this one is the best.
The server program crashes on my MAC PRO. When tested with a windows computer (which server software does work), the client software crashes on my Samsung S4 Veredict: It is a worthless scam, don't buy it.
After scanning the QR code, it says connecting then crashed... Tried to set zero bluetootg security also didnt help.. How to resolve?
The presenter server cannot detect Bluetooth on my Debian laptop :(
This app would be great, except that, when I try to quit, it freezes the whole phone, every single time I use it. The only way to regain control is to turn it off and then on again. I own a Samsung GT-S5570 (Galaxy Mini). I sent the author an e-mail about it more than three weeks ago but got no response.
Genial (HTC Hero, Linux)! Feature-Wunsch: Redezeit-Countdown mit einstellbarer Vorwarnung.
This app works great for me, it does what is tays and it dows it well. It works with every type of document in any operating system, just need bluetooth. The only thing I miss here is a feature that allows you to use de acelerometer to control a pointer. If it would exist this will be the bes app.
I just gave a 20 minutes presentation using this app, and everything went fine. However, it eats the battery. It would be a good suggestion if they use volume control to change the slides as well.
What a joke. Followed all instructions and did everything and when I snap or type name of phone it says couldn't find and check name for spelling
-but sucks battery like no one's business. I get through my 1.5 hour lecture & my phone's dying.
NOT WORKING IN MAC
Initially I had a hard time getting the software running on my computer. Debugging it with "java -jar Presenter.jar" relieved that I needed to install libbluetooth-dev for my Debian system.
I use it at the university almost every day.
Works great on droid! Surprised its not more popular!
Installed on mac. NEVER allowed me to open. Always said "presenter quit unexpectedly". Waste of money.

It worth the price I just gave a 20 minutes presentation using this app, and everything went fine. However, it eats the battery. It would be a good suggestion if they use volume control to change the slides as well.

Maybe linux update broke it? In any case, no updates means it will stay broken...
