Not sure what the difference between "Real" and "Location Based" altitude is (Real isn't very accurate), but other than that the GPS altitude is good.

This app seems to be one of the most accurate for measuring elevation. The GPS mode is accurate. The one above it says real elevation isn't. Great app though.

The real elevation isn't accurate at all but the location based elevation is accurate too plus or minus 15 feet.

I am at sea level at the moment, right on the ocean and it is reading 78.5' below sea level. I notice when a roadside sign gives the elevation (like at a mountain pass peak) this thing is always 100' lower than what the posted signs list it as being.
