The Spirit Light description and instructions
The flashlight experiment. This is the act of having taking a flashlight and unscrewing it until the contacts barely meet so that a very small amount of energy is needed to make the connection and turn the flashlight on. An entity is supposed to respond to question by turning the flashlight on and off or by blinking the flashlight once for yes or twice for no. Some people want to dispute this as evidence. Three theories are that due to heating and cooling from the batteries of the flashlight and the small break in the connection, the flashlight will turn on and off randomly, and It is just a coincidence if it happens after an investigator asks a question. Another is there is that the light going on and off is due to vibrations due to where the light is placed. Lastly this theory is called "arcing" it is where the connections will be so close together, it will cause a small arc of electricity from time to time, thus causing the flashlight to go on and off.
The Spirit Light will end all this controversy. The light is triggered by EMF or by touch. The idea is that the entity with either be able to trigger it from its energy, the EMF that it is associated with OR by physically touching the screen. The slightest touch will trigger the light to go on and when the interaction stops the light will go off.
Instructions and Options.
1. Start the Spirit Light
2. Choose if you want to use Touch Mode, EMF Mode, or Both Touch and EMF Modes. You can also name the room you are conducting the experiment in (this is not mandatory, however it is recommended).
3. Click on the options screen. Here you will find options to log the activity, run a recorder in the background, and choose if you would like a sound to also go off with the light being triggered.
4. Set the EMF level you want the light to go on at. A pop up will show you the level of EMF you choose to trigger the light (1MG to 1000MG). At this time your logging will not start for 2 minutes, in order to give you time for placement and to adapt to the rooms natural EMF.
5. The EMF sensor will auto calibrate to 0mg.
The Spirit Light will take care of the rest. Anytime the set EMF point is reached and/or or the device is touched (depending on what setting you choose), it will trigger the light to go on. When the EMF dissipates or the touch it released, the light will go off. The auto capture will log this information in a text format (if chosen in the options screen) to a Spirit Light Log, which can be found inside a folder called Spirit Light which is located in the Paratools folder on your SD Card. An example of how the log will look is:

Just trying to figure this app out. Shouldnt have to, for the price paid. $5.30. Needs better instructions. When I went to Paratools site, it was down. The app has an EVP recorder? Other than being able to activate/deactivate it, you do not see an EVP recorder, nor any settings for it, nor where to find the EVP recordings. EVP must run in the background. (If at all). More confusing things, like the mg slider. I suspect slider at 1000 means 1000 and ABOVE. Not 1 to 1000. Light color? Why? Camera led on? Why?

Been using this around my house. I'll get an EMF "spike" in one spot. Later on in the same spot, the "spike" is not there. I have had some unexplainable things going on in my household so I think getting this was not a bad idea. Like it overall.

Good app, but screen keeps going to sleep while app is running. Needs screen sleep override. Also, the activation beep alert works only once, then no sound. Also, screen too bright. Overrides screen dimness settings. Thank you.

Add far as I can tell it works fine. I wonder if emf from other non-paranormal sources can give false readings though? Wish there was more instruction on the emf scale setter at the bottom of the app. I'm not sure what sensitivity to use?

I have been able to target exact locations of activity. As the spirits have actually touched me I tested this app to see if it would work. It accurately pinpointed the location of the spirits. Remember i know where they are because of their touch. This app is real. - Whitney

Although I haven't had time to use in a haunted place yet, the app functions the way it states and that's what we pay for :) Will update and add a star when I get to use in a haunted place and have spirit communication. Dev makes great apps. Have had GCC for months and never had any problems with the way it functions or any force closing. All apps have many great options for setup. Dev responds promptly to emails.

No more flashlight, no more expensive touchy equipment to buy. Being that the touch screen on my bionic is sensitive this will make it easier for entities to interact with it. I'm with the Santa Cruz Ghost Hunters and we have an investigation coming up with a very active teenage boy.

As far as paranormal activity goes, i don't know about that. However the EMF does work with electronic devices. I have a professional grade EMF detector used for finding EMF's and the spirit light will match it all the way. So from an electrical point of view, it works.

Didn't think it would work, but it did. I had a friend test it out as well, but she got startled when the light went on and almost dropped my phone. It works very well, I might add, as it will only go on when it touched or EMF sets it off. I do make sure to hold the phone flat on the palm of my hand to make sure I do not touch the screen by accident. Overall, I am very pleased with this tool.

Got this Friday because I was in Gettysburg investigating. I was able to test it on the battlefield which is known to have spirits. It was a great way to test the tool before investigating a place we weren't sure of. We hit on several locations throughout the night. It seemed to be right on the money. We love it. We are a new paranormal investigating team in the Maryland area and we like having access to tools such as these. We also downloaded the P.A.L. which I will review shortly. Keep up the good work.
