Safe Pendulum is working on background also. But sometimes android-system is need of more memory and can shutdown Safe Pendulum. But if you start Safe Pendulum and activate it and then but screen lock on, it almost always work correctly. We are working to make it more secure, but we are fighting against android-system-memory-management. Safest way is not to overload your android while using Safe Pendulum.
