Control your computer with terRemote!
This app receives and handles events and/or button clicks and performs actions. It can thus work as a regular remote control app but it's much more than that. Using macros to perform actions on certain events gives you a lot of possibilities.
The current main feature is the communication with EventGhost. EventGhost is a Windows program that can control the OS (volume, onscreen text, mouse movements, keyboard commands, text to speech, ...) as well as many of its programs such as media players (Winamp, MediaMonkey, VLC, XBMC, Windows Media Player, iTunes, PowerDVD, DVBViewer, Foobar, ...) and others. It is also capable of controling peripheral devices.
To start using terRemote and EventGhost is easy, even if you don't have any experience with either of these programs, yet. terRemote has a built-in tutorial that shows you step-by-step how to control your computer via terRemote. It only takes about ten minutes to set up.
terRemote also supports the app Tasker. You can invoke Tasker events and send events from Tasker to terRemote, using payloads and variables. Install the free Tasker plugin for terRemote to use this feature.

Old: I was so excited to find the basic version and very happy with it's performance. Thus, I'm even more disturbed that the paid version is significantly less stable. In fact, I spent hours tonight on a layout that crashed the program right in the middle of editing. Now this program won't even run, even after a reboot! I'm afraid to uninstall and reinstall for fear of losing most of the layout, but I guess I'll have to....hate that. New: This version id very good. More to come....

Excellent app, does what it says on the tin. I can control music, lights and curtains from the other side of the world with my phone or tablet and really scare the other half. Best app for eventghost so far. Next job for you Chris; make it in to a widget. Being able to control things directly from the home screen would be the ultimate convenience.

Always been a fan of tasker. Always been a fan of eventghost. Tried tens of apps that tried to communicate my Htpc. Chris you are the man. This app should be posted on billboards right next to tasker. When the future is here and people wonder if they can do what these combined apps do we can say we've been doing it for years. So far I can wake my computer from anywhere and control launch apps. When I'm home I can launch movies, folders, and tv. Simply amazing. A Million thanks. (or 5$)
