Love the website, but this app does not work properly on my Galaxy 6S. Freezes all the time, wont let me click on certain things after a search. Then works fine after I restart the app. Very disappointed
Had app on my notebook for less than five minutes I checked out trending it shows me the fact on the first statement I pick but never the second I tried six times I don't know why nor do I care App deleted
Never trust this site. All they want to do is straddle the fence to gain more traffic. I used to use them but they have become CNN. Too afraid to be an actual fact checker. No credibility left anymore.
Used to be a great app. Doesn't seem to work fully anymore. The trending section doesn't work. And it needs a person list for the big political names.
I should not have to close the app after reviewing only two trending topics. It locks up, shows blank pages and is very slow to load.
S4 and this is mostly blank and unresponsive
Story ---- pointed that was not true !!!
Literally every time I want to choose another article the screen goes white and it freezes. Useless. But, it would be pretty great If the bugs were fixed.
I use this app alot. I would appreciate more diverse content--speakers, subjects, and controversies. A recent search on Ferguson yielded nothing, and a search about Fox News did not give much info either.
I regretfully can only give this app 2 stars for content. I had hoped for an honest evaluation of statements made in the political arena, but if Politifact is to be believed, almost everything a Republican or conservative says has some element of un truthfulness to it. Politifact was not nearly as tough on the other side of the spectrum. For example, they rated a statement by Ted Cruz on Global Warming as mostly false even though they admitted the facts behind his statement were correct.
Uswd to be a great app. Doesn't seem to still work, as all the fact checks are months old.
I like this informative a informative app. It does need a sort by date feature to ser the most recent article. Also a hot topic section (e.g. debt ceiling cruises or going shutdown)
Using this for about a month. And I really enjoy the data and being able to see how close I am to my limit. It also shows how much data is used both on CDMA and WiFi.
Yeah. It'd be great if lazy people didn't make apps.
Yea. Pretty slow and hiccupy. Still has good info and such
Does not work.
Pretty good ap, thanks. But please reduce the answer options on the Challenge to just "True" or "False." If PolitiFact considers a statement to be a "Pants on Fire" lie and I click "False," I get the question wrong.
the challenge is great but your pants on fire answers are very confusing. I statement is either true or false not true or false or very false.
I love Politifact, and this app is alright, but it has a lot of lag time.
Just needs yo be a little faster when scrolling
Would have easily earned 5 stars if it stayed up to date with the politifact website.
Worked.
This app seems to be a 100% port from iOS. Very laggy and almost unusable.
Not designed for android
Try using this while watching the debates. Absolutely terrible.
I prefer the website over the app because you can search more items on the website by person by chain email... and the app doesn't seem to be as up to date as the website is nevertheless I'm glad I have this.
Love it
Doesn't apple have a patent on that bounce effect?
Seems like it would be ok if it didn't lock up
It's tools like this that helps me fight facebook lies! You can't even trust the news either. This app def helps.
A friend has this on his iPhone so I know how it should work. It doesn't work on my Droid 3 anywhere close to how it does on the iPhone, which is a shame. Slow response, seems to kind of freeze up, have to exit out and re-open to get things to work. Not very ideal. Uninstalled.
This app is pretty good. I really like the challenge feature, but it is a bit unfair that you have to decide between false or pants on fire. If that is fixed I will give it four stars.
Only 4stars because of the response speed. To those complaining about the two seemingly False choices...Pants on fire means total fabrication or leaving something out that totally changes what was said. As in "I believe in euthanasia for pets." Then quoting that I said "I believe in euthanasia." That is a pants on fire! I got fired because someone did exactly that to me. Two weeks later the company I was contracted to called me to go in the back door and fix what they broke. Any political body or member that resorts to that is not to be trusted nor elected!
I appreciate the idea, but not the implementation. Last time I checked, my phone was running android not iOS. At least take the time to create a native application. This app just feels wrong and looks worse on my nexus. The back button doesn't even work and the apps performance is horrendous. I was considering one of your paid apps until I experienced this atrocity.
The quiz function incorrectly reads my choice 80% of the time! The article section is a blank screen you search from, which feels like the app has crashed - should default to"trending" instead. First visit requires LONG info download which feels like a crash. Easily fixable major UI errors give this a clunky, beta feel, but the content (if you find it) is top grade.
The quiz part is very inconsistent on what it wants you to grade. Sometimes it expects you to answer if someone said something and other times it wants you to answer if what they said was factual. Doesn't tell you which way to answer so you'll get many wrong. Also there are two answers for false, which if you select the wrong one, you get the question wrong even if you are correct about it being false. Finally, the interface is based on iOS, not android which looks very out of place on android.
A wonderful app that is gonna make the dinner table chatter much easier. Living in a house that spouts GOP / Faux News talking points like they are gospel about drives me crazy. This app should quell the crazy talk. Thank You!
Slow response times, and an obvious lack of attention to Android best practices. Search and browse never actually found results, even after over a minute of searching. The "share" button is somewhat insulting too, especially given the appalling state of the app.
Only about half of the features in the description actually function. The browse feature crashes and the search function doesn't turn up anything close to what you ask for. Since both (or either) of those features are required to "settle it" in any arguement, this app does not do what it claims. The trending and newest articles are the only functioning part of the app. Just use the website through a browser.

Despite their statement that they fixed the problems with the back button this & other bugs permeate this otherwise excellent app. A 2nd problem is that the text may say a claim is mostly true, but their "truth-meter" will say it's half-true (e.g., minimum wage: economy always does better under Democratic presidents.) If and when they do get it working, it promises to be a valuable tool to evaluate political claims, rumors, myths, beliefs & truisms.
