W odróżnieniu od innych dostępnych narzędzi StormTecSilesia korzysta z danych z czterech detektorów burzowych nowej generacji zainstalowanych na terenie woj.śląskiego. Dzięki aplikacji możemy bardzo dokładnie monitorować warunki sprzyjające powstawaniu burzy oraz same burze. Oprócz położenia komórek burzowych uzyskujemy także informacje o rodzaju wyładowań (IC - wyładowanie chmura-chmura; CG - wyładowanie chmura-ziemia), a także intensywności burzy oraz dokładną statystykę występujących zjawisk. Aplikacja idealna jest dla służb kryzysowych, żeglarzy, przewodników górskich, turystów a także entuzjastów meteorologii.
