Solid Explorer Cast Plugin

[Micromax Canvas Fun A63 | Running android v4.2.2 Jellybean] Not working in my phone, doesn't play any video always says that 'Chromcast not installed' & thus I don't know what to do now. Please fix this issue as soon as possible!

During movie play back over Chromecast, the subtile & language selection option are not available to choose. Slight compromise in cast video quality. Adding these features would really help chromecastians enjoy a lot

The app casts pictures just fine but it won't cast movies. Only way I can get it to cast a movie is to connect to chromecast by selecting a picture, then switch to video folder and select a movie. After that it works. If I try to cast a movie directly it says "chromecast not found". I like Solid overall and if this issue is resolved I will purchase the app as well as some add-ons but in its current state unfortunately I must go back to ES File Explorer, their chromecast add on works perfectly

Cast app keeps crashing anytime I start to actually try casting something. Running with Solid Explorer Classic...wonder if recent update in that app is causing this plugin to crash

An email to the developer gives you a link stating they no longer respond to email. The link is not active and they never update it.

Desperately needs a 30 second skip back button. Also, app remains open until a phone hard reset - the "exit" app does not close the app.

It does play audio and images on my Chromecast and forget videos, videos are extremely slow with this. To make audio and images casting great, I think it should have added a way to make slideshow or just images in row. I had to select a particle l particular photo to cast. And in audio casting too, which though works great in less than 5 sec but still should have added some songs to play in queue.

Works good for me. I have found that when the cast box is not there reset the app. And by mistake I found out if you hit the play button and it says this video can't be played hit the pause button then the play button again it will start playing I hope this helps

With 4 Chromecast in my house you'd think this plugin could find just one of them. No it doesn't work.

Great for caring videos, but I keep having issues with it defending my Chromecast. So say "no chromecast available" after I mess with it for a while (opening and closing solid explorer, etc.) it will finally detect it, but its always an issue. If it worked like it's supposed to, it'd be 5 stars.

Chromecast itself is finicky. If you can't get it to work, it's not this plug-in's fault, it's likely your file type or a setup issue on your end.

I get constant crashing when playing music. I'm only able to play one song before it crashes. I can replicate this issue every single time.

To be honest almost all the issues I've had with streaming are down to my crappy broadband. The plugin works well otherwise and certainly beats having to use two apps to do the same thing....

I think it worked once when I tested it after installing but when I actually wanted to use it it just says "No Chromecast available".

No longer can write to SDcard with Kitkat. Used to use this as my main file explorer app - no more.

There is no audio when casting mkv files. Video works flawlessly with no sound. Please fix this!

Avi file not supported, such highly common file extension not supported?

It has quit, once worked 98% with the original solid explorer, Now it'll show the title of what i pick on the TV then nothing

Even casts MKV but sadly no sound on large mkv files ie: above 1-3GB

It works fine, but it won't cast clips (only images) from wifi smb. I hoped this would be the only Chromecast app i'd need, so i've got vGet & LocalCast apps to do what this Sol.Exp.Plugin can't do, like playback from Web-URL & casting continuous Playlists (m3u). Casting to My Sony Bravia TV's DLNA player & AirPlay would be handy, even to another Smartphone/Tablet like AllCast can do. Anyway, coz it does most things & is so lightweight, its still a keeper.

Don't get sound when casting to the new Chromecast. None of my devices sound works when casting to the new Chromecast (Nexus 5x, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 or Nexus 10) plug in old one and sound works...

Not recognizing any Chromecast units on the only WiFi network I have. Not sure what to troubleshoot here. I guess it just won't work. Too bad. Can I have my $2.00 back please?

It doesn't provide any way to exit. Quite annoying that I can't get back to Solid Explorer after casting something without exiting the entire app first.

Other apps have no issues

It's hard to go to a certain point in a video because the seek bar is too small and too inaccurate. Landscape would help a lot, and/or fast forward and rewind controls. Also, please add the ability for it to remember last position.

Works fine on my One M8. For those below me make sure you have the right file type. The files that cast with other Google apps cast here as well.

But it needs some way to disable it, from inside the app. There is no way to force it closed, from your status bar. It requires to be forced closed in Applications Manager... Love this app as a File Explore, so many great features…!!!

Works where most others fail. If it had support for subtitles it would be perfect.

Doesn't work. Lollipop on HTC m8.

Tried with avi, mp4,and mkv files. Got an image on the screen but no actual playback.
