Kaka Flashcards 2 for Android
Great for learning languages, preparing for tests etc.
Features:
* Two way sync with Quizlet.com
* Supports images in Quizlet's sets
* Uses learning system based on Leitner's method
* Edit and create new sets on your phone
* Simple to use & with nice UI
Love that this app is based on Leitner system, but unfortunately no text appears on the flashcards, making it unusable.
The cards front and back sides both appear blank. This was after i updated to jelly bean, plz have a look into it
Great interface, easy to use and works seamlessly with the website. Amazing app, I feel that its going to help me a lot with exams.
I can only use this app if I used less words. If only I can change the font like kaka 1
Same rubish as kaka one
After sync, flashcards are not showing anything - just blank cards. Fix it!
Can't seem to fit all the text on the flash card. Should be able to do such a simple task. Otherwise, impressed with the app
Cards are blank! Galaxy note3 with JB....Please fix!
This has a lot of potential, but it seriously lacks the simplest mechanisms. For instance, I give me the option to rearrange the flashcard sets (because the sets sync out of order, perhaps you could fix that altogether). Let me test myself on both sides of the flashcards. It would be great if, at the end of a study session, you would give me the option to test myself on the vocabulary I missed in just that session. currently, the only other way to do this is to go back and unchecked all but "missed words".
Flash cards show up as a blank screen with android 4.0 and above.
Won't work in jelly bean...
Seems easy enough to use, very straightforward, but all of my cards are showing up blank. I wasted over an hour entering all my definitions for nothing.
Not working on ainol elf2. I can't read the backside of the card. It tries then kick me out to select a pack. Ihope it gets fixed.
One of the best features from version 1 is gone: many-sided cards. Also can't import the cards exported (as CSV) from version 1.
I used to have this app on my Samsung Galaxy 7.0 plus, and I loved it. It was wonderful when I was studying for my final, but now that I have a Nexus 7 nothing shown on the cards. What happened?
It works very well, but it would be nice if given the option to flip the cards to study it from the other side, and also to be able to change the font size because not all of my words of the definition fit on one side. But other than that, I love it.
Does not sync to quizlet. Tried six times. Will uninstall.
Cards are blank! Galaxy note3 with JB....Please fix!
Could you please make an import function so I can import from flashcards 1
Great app, seamless sync with quizlet. A more advanced grading system would be awesome, also a suffle and an option to view definition first, rather than just always word first. Black cards with red text would be fantastic for battery life conservation.
this app is great. but if it incorporate the text to speech engine in android, and provide pronunciation of flashcards, it will be perfect. hope your next version provide this feature.
5 star for this apps good for learning
Would be nice if there was an option to review a deck in sequence as well.
Everything is perfect, except it lacks the option to switch between viewing term & definition first.
Cards display as blank. Please fix. Samsung GS4.
I simply get blank cards on Galaxy S3 with Android Version 4.1.1. Not terribly useful.
Decks sync, but cards appear completely blank. Obviously not useful in this state.
Would give it 5 stars if I could see the words on the cards after a recent update
The quizlet sync is really nice, but there's a glitch where the materials on the flashcards keeps changing and it basically makes them useless. I have three Samsung galaxy s2
Leitner boxes that I have to handle myself are not state of the art. Spaced repetition is. Altogether this app starts in tutorial mode because you need a tutorial to handle it. Others say you can't edit your own sets? That's not true. At least I could. The interface is a step forward compared to Kaka 1 ... which is horrible.
Pictures show up, but no text. Seems weird cuz you would think that pics would not work well opposed to the text.
The features offered in this app (namely, syncing with quizlet) are awesome, but unfortunately, nothing actually shows up on the cards, so it's useless. Nexus 4 on stock 4.2
Hurts to see almost all the functions you want in 2 products. The sooner you make kaka 1 features available in 2 the better and I would love to see black cards with red writing to cut down battery usage. ICS or jelly bean support would be nice no access to font options. Unusable with galaxy nexus jelly bean. The experience is worse on nexus 7 you are failing an awesome app. Was so good before. :(
The UI is clear, synchronize well with quizlet. Two features can be added. One is making flashcards on cellphone with images, now it's only possible to make flashcards without images. The other is the possibility of seeing definition first, the word later.
This program is simple and it works (most of the time) on my Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet. No ads, just study. I use it to sync with my Quizlet flashcards. There are only a few things I'd fix, such as faster syncing, ability to edit a set, and more choice in how to sort my cards. The box system is great, in that if I didn't remember a card, I double-click on it and the program moves it up into less known boxes. I can then go back and study just those that I missed. If I double-click that I don't know it, however, there is no way to undo that.
I came back to this app thinking that by now you must have fixed it to work with one of the most common Android phones of the present. Not surprisingly, but disappointingly, text still doesn't show up on the cards. This app is unusable.
I had a great app on my iphone for flashcards called touch which had excellent features. I have been trying to find something similar on android. Kaka 1 was like using a beta version but I persevered. Kaka2 has imroved slightly and I really like the syncing with an account on quizlet. Its an excellent feature which makes it very easy to get relevant flashcards. However Kaka 1 had the ability to shuffle the cards and reverse the card face. This does not. It is essential otherwise the user will quickly bore and get a different app. Another feature I would suggest in the future is rather than double tapping for not knowing the card I suggest a sliding scale of familiarity at the bottom of the screen, say a choice of 1 to 5 from 'not known' to 'well known'. Kaka could then show the cards with a frequency relevant to the familiarity. This has been proven to be the best way to learn with flashcards. I look forward to Kaka 3!
I think that this app is pretty close to a 5* app. GUI looks nice, easy to use (even if you have to go through the initial tutorial first), Syncing with Quizlet is also great. I like the provided learning tool with Leitner boxes. That is the best among all what I have seen till now. There is only one thing that I miss very much: To be able to choose which side of the cards to be asked first. You will get the 5* from me if this feature will be added. Update: Syncing from Quizlet to my phone went quite well. However I had serious problems with the other way round. Probably some error has occurred but only 5 cards were copied (from 28) from my phone to Quizlet and I lost the remaining of that set. It was still available in my phone but it lost from Quizlet. My guess is that some special characters in the Hungarian language could cause the problem. Usually ő and ű cause difficulties for some programs.
No cards show up after syncing with quizlet. They're just blank.

It's not simple to use as the first version, maybe you can try.
