“Autoportret” is a quarterly magazine devoted to the space in which we live. We are interested in: links between architecture and politics, anthropology of space, the impact of new media on space, contemporary architecture, and the language we use when discussing space.
We want to understand space.

“Autoportret” quarterly is the only magazine in Poland dedicated to space as a category of culture. The journal is addressed to all those interested in the theme of space and architecture, and is of interdisciplinary character. It features articles written by scientists from a variety of disciplines and by authors from the world of art and literature. The character of texts ranges from academic articles, interviews and reports, to literary essays. Each issue follows a theme.

Among the authors of “Autoportret” are: Zygmunt Bauman, Zbigniew Benedyktowicz, Jacek Dehnel, Maciej Miłobędzki, Ewa Rewers, Tadeusz Slawek, David Crowley, Jorge Otero Pailos, Akos Moravanszky, Juhani Pallasmaa, Marc Augé, Serge Latouche, Harry Mallgrave, Krzystof Nawratek.
Themes of recent issues included: “Limitations,” “Spaces of knowledge,” and “Movement.”

„Autoportret” to kwartalnik poświęcony przestrzeni, w której żyjemy. Interesują nas związki architektury i polityki, antropologia przestrzeni, wpływ nowych mediów na przestrzeń, architektura współczesna, język, którego używamy, mówiąc o przestrzeni.
Chcemy rozumieć przestrzeń.
Kwartalnik "Autoportret" jest jedynym w Polsce regularnie ukazującym się pismem poświęconym przestrzeni jako kategorii kultury. Czasopismo jest adresowane do wszystkich zainteresowanych problematyką przestrzeni (nie tylko profesjonalistów) i ma charakter interdyscyplinarny. W kwartalniku publikujemy teksty autorytetów z różnych dyscyplin naukowych oraz ze świata sztuki i literatury, a same teksty są zróżnicowane gatunkowo: od artykułu akademickiego przez wywiad i reportaż aż po esej literacki. Numery mają charakter monograficzny.
