Mobile version of the dofsimulator.net online tool.
Calculates camera depth of field and background blur and simulates it on a photo for any lens, camera and distance combination with different types of lens blur (bokeh).
You can choose from 4 ultra high resolution backgrounds, 8 models of different height and 10 types of bokeh.
Parameters that can be set:
- sensor/film size or camera model
- lens focal length
- aperture
- optical converter
- distance of the model from the camera and the background
- circle of confusion
The application calculates:
- depth of field range
- background blur size
- hiperfocal distance
- diffraction effects
Any change in the parameters instantly affects the preview - you can easily observe its influence on the resulting photo. Saving the parameters sets on a list allows to directly compare the outcome of different equipment configurations.

Awesome application, VERY nice interface, a comprehensive camera and lens database, good bokeh simulation, tablet and phone version in the same app, two sets of distance units, what else could anyone ask for? Thank you developer for keeping the app free of charge, but know that I would be willing to pay for it in order to get rid of ads.

This app used to be awesome, but since the update which makes it better still, on the downside every time a full page pop-up advert appears it crashes the app (Galaxy Note 3) and you've got to restart it again. It's really spoilt the experience for me with the full page often very noisy countdown timed pop-up adverts. Can't you just limit it to the small top adverts please ? ????

Very nice tool. Will use for every camera I own but pls add a canon powershot sx100 is. Lens is 6.0-60.0mm 1:2.8-4.3 will be nice to add my canon camera lens pls

I have a bridge camera, so shallow depth of field is a tad more of a challenge. This app visually tells me how much blur I'm going to get, and actually has my bridge camera (well, the equivalent model without WiFi) so it makes it a breeze! Great for someone just starting to get serious about photography.
