About Background Data Control Widget
Elegant and simple home screen widget that shows the data transfer application in the background is turned on or not.
Pressing the widget will show the System Settings window, where you can change the state of data synchronization in the background.
Note! You can not change the state of data synchronization in the background directly in the widget!

yeah its good for what it says it does. to an extent..i have galaxy player 4.2 and the widget freezes once in a while..please update and u get two more starz :p

This is an extremely useful widget but it has issues on each phone I have tried it on. Usually it is a problem with it either not taking me to the background data page... Basically not doing anything, or not showing correct status of whether the background data is off or on.

Works but I dont like how it opens to the setting window. Change it to an automatic switcher and this app would be a 5.

I got a nice switch widget thing but it would only switch Auto-Sync and not Background Data, so I was looking for something more. This widget solves my problem. It involves an extra click because it takes you to the settings page, I'm guessing you can't actually make a program control that directly. So this is the next best thing, it's a quick shortcut to click through and toggle it yourself. I think it does try to show the status, but it wasn't reliable on my phone. Then again my phone is older than dirt at this point and it works as a nice shortcut regardless. Thanks!
