About Amnesty
The cartoon Amnestia (Amnesty) is one of the chapters in Bić się do końca. Podziemie niepodległościowe w regionie radomskim w latach 1945-1950 (Fight till the End: Underground Resistance in the Radom Region 1945-1950), and at the same time an independent multimedia application that can be downloaded to PCs and mobile telecommunications devices – smartphones, tablets, mobile phones etc. It consists of several dozen graphic boards depicting the history of the attack on the Radom prison in September 1945, conducted by anti-communist troops led by Stefan Bembiński „Harnaś.” As a result, almost 300 prisoners got liberated from the prison, where they were held in inhumane conditions by the communist repressive apparatus. The action is considered one of the most spectacular events in the post-war history of the resistance in the Radom region. Graphic design, drawings, and the script were prepared by Przemysław Ochnia, a visual artist from Radom, in cooperation with historians from the Radom branch of the Institute of National Remembrance; the multimedia application and the accompanying promotional spot were prepared by Magdalena Śladecka and Grzegorz Gałęzowski from the Lublin branch of the Institute of National Remembrance.
