Even though it hasn't been updated in almost a year.

If this app were still updated it would be worth the buy. Without updates it had gotten buggier and buggier to the point where I can't read many articles.

It works great for me.

I had a lot of issues trying to use this app on my Nexus S. After I finally got the initial sync of all my folders completed, it seemed to work for a short period. But then it refuses to sync again, making this app completely useless. I would give it another shot if the developer were to fix the sync issues. The app has a lot of promise.

Lately, deleting articles in Andoid OR on Instapaper website doesn't stick.. all articles re-appear the next time Instafetch does a sync. Also, since the upgrade to Lolipop, sharing to "Add to Instafetch" often causes apps (e.g. Plume) to then quit-out back to the home-screen, needing you to start the app again to resume reading. No good for a paid app.

This is a must-have app for long commutes. Combined with a good TTS engine (I use IVONA), I'm kept sane and productive while stuck in traffic. Developer is good at getting problems/bugs solved. Definitely worth the purchase.

I bought the pro version just for the ease of working with folders on the go. Recent updates seem to have taken them out? Is it an issue with the official app?

M70%
by M####:

Gets the basics right. Also works well on eInk displays. However, I'm disappointed that a core feature, the synchronization with Instapaper, is not well thought out: If the app's timed attempts to synchronize content do not happen to occur when the selected network (such as "Wifi only") is available, synchronization does not happen at all. The app makes no attempt to synchronize when the network becomes available.

Simply doesn't work half the time. Really struggles with syncing. Can't believe I spent money on this app update: now says I have no license. This app is worthless, wouldn't even use it if free.

R70%
by R####:

Initially disappointed, but the fix changed it and made it a better app now. Would like standard scrolling though instead of the 'pagination' swipe .. or make it a setting. This is an app to IMPROVE usability, swiping fixed length pages is worse than scrolling.

I like the interface on Android. I'm using it on t-mobile HTC Sensation. I use the Instapaper IPad app and the Instapaper windows app. With some sites the article title does not come through for any of the platforms I use. So, on those articles I need to go into windows and paste in the article title and summary. The IPad app picks up the changes I make to title and summary on windows. But the title and summary info do not refresh into the android application. Can the developers take a a look at this? Thanks.

Great app nicely integrated. Only drawback is that synchronisation is not fully consistent between app and instaper

Can't sync and want my money back. Have been waiting for months for the official instapaper or a fix of instafetch. Finally readingo came out and works fine.

All good, but one downside. It doesn't have an option to specify the default encoding for the header of the article. So, any language other than English appears garbled.

I can't access the articles offline, which is the entire reason I downloaded the app.

This app is in serious need of a UI update. This app does not have a menu button and neither do the newer phones. So it needs to be update to the newer android design standards to include a menu button. In fact, by the look of it, the design hasn't been updated since Gingerbread, which is sad.

I upgraded to the pay version after trying out the lite version. This is a wonderful companion to Instapaper for us Android users! Well worth the price! Excellent app and very responsive developer! A couple of features that are truly outstanding and not something I've seen mentioned: - Remembers your place in long articles! Reopening a partially read article jumps back to where I left off reading. This is HUGE! - Remembers last article read, also very cool. I've used the app on both tablet and phone.

I'm a big fan of the text-to-speech capability, but the app just skips over bulleted text in Evernote. Updated January 2013. Still has significant problems integrating with evernote formatting (skips lines, appends unrelated text). Seems to work well only if you limit yourself to full sentences without lists. I thought this app had promise, but it hasn't improved in this area over the last four months :(

I'm generally a big fan of Instafetch, but I do wish it worked with New York Magazine articles, which it stopped doing for me a while ago.

R70%
by R####:

Instafetch is an excellent app, far superior to the official Instapaper app in every way. The one word of caution is for people with limited space on their device - over weeks of syncing, the size of the app does tend to balloon from less than 1mb to well over 50mb. Selecting "clear data" and logging in again does sort the problem, but this needs to be done, say, once a month or so to stop the app becoming enormous. Apart from that, it does work superbly well, which is why I stick with it :)

I use instapaper on my ipod, and the app there is amazing. However, when I sync here, it only syncs the first page of each file and doesnt have multipage saving (i'm a fan of reading fanfiction so one chapter shows out of 10-20 that saved in the file). Please try and integrate this function.

This app cuts off the bottom one or two lines of articles, making them almost unreadable. Also it doesn't save articles from stumble upon even though it gives you the option.

I don't understand why this app hasn't been downloaded tens of thousands of times. Rock solid reliability. Text to speech is flawless and is its killer feature. A must have.

Synching seems to be painfully slow compared to pocket and instapaper. Parsing seems to be better than instapaper but worse than pocket.

I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. Make sure you get a decent text to speech engine. Running on GS3 I was pleasantly surprised when it remembered the spot where I stopped listening, and was able to resume it. My wish list: AVRCP support. The ability to pause and rewind from my Bluetooth headset would complete the listening experience. In listening mode, it should just show one sentence at a time. Instead, use the screen real estate to show the text of the article and highlight t
