InstaFetch Lite for Android
Looks great but purchase outside the market is a hassle. Not sure why this is a subscription-based app since there isn't an affiliated ongoing service
Used the app, liked it very much and wanted to update for the pro features. However, I feel £5 is excessive for what the app does, which means I'm stuck with an app which is missing key features :(
... annoys me just enough not to shell out dough for the pro version -- marketing fail
It's cool.
Great features and 10 articles isn't an issue. Not deleting the content from my instapaper account is hugely annoying though so uninstalling.
Can't log in! Receive an ' internet connection error' xperia play
Does just what I need.
Works great
For starters, there is NO support for images despite what the screen shots above are displaying, which look like they're from the Pro version. More importantly, it does not always retrieve the full article body, despite it being present on Instapaper. If I can't rely on it, I can't use it. If I can't trust the lite version, it gives me no faith in the pro. Avoid.
works just as it should . Interface could use some work, but functionality is all there. I upgraded to the full version.
Latest version intentionally crippled now (only 10 articles), becoming useless
Did not sync my articles. Freezes on my phone resulting in FC. x10 mini on Android 2.1 Update: Still FCs at times, only syncs about 10 articles.
I saved www page to instafetch, went to airplane mode on my phone, chose this www and InF said "Needs internet connection to finish." Useless.
It only downloads the last 10 articles in the lite version.
couldn't sync. no network ... but there is network
Its really good must download
Only loses the last star because it's not as pretty as the real thing.
Very good
was good before subscription for the pro version (subscription for an app??). would pay for the app, but never to subscribe to an app.
Would be willing to pay for the app, but why on earth would I pay for a monthly subscription? You are providing an app, not a monthly service! Rubbish
Absolutely nothing is available in this free version so I can't tell if it's a good app or not. Any button you press, it says "buy PRO". No, I will definitely NOT buy the PRO version.
Can't login, citing unspecified username/password errors despite working rather reliably in the past. Wouldn't sync new articles last couple of weeks now nothing at all. Can't create new accounts either. I am going to guess this is a nudge to buy the PRO version?
Seems like a decent app, but I couldn't test any features that were much different from the actual Instapaper app itself, but here a few differences that I did notice: 1) In InstaFetch readability options (font, font size, background, screen brightness, line spacing, line length) can't be set while reading the article. To do so, one must go back to the main menu, where there are only font and font size settings. Perhaps there are other settings in "Themes", but that's pro version only. Instapaper has these options available while reading the article. 2) InstaFetch wouldn't let me highlight text; I could highlight one word, but that was it. Highlighting text works fine with Instapaper. 3) InstaFetch doesn't have screen rotation settings. 4) When in paged (pagination) mode, InstaFetch is a bit quicker on page turns. 5) InstaFetch has the option to display or not display images. 6) For me, the only real draw to this application over Instapaper is the text-to-speech capability, which really is a pretty big draw if it can be coupled with Ivona voices. Unfortunately, that can't be tested in the Lite version, so I'm unsure of it's quality.
Username password error . bugger. I used to like this app
Switched to official client which worked fine
This software has per-page view - this is good. But it does not have a brightness change like in iOS Instapaper client: only day and night mode, which on AMOLED displays not enouph :( I bought the pro version and then sold it back. Please make brightness change and I will be glad to buy it again :)
Text size changes at random. Sometimes it won't go all the way through the article. I'd try the pro version, but I don't know if it's any better.
I can't even create an account. Have they test this app?
but extremely slow
perfect for commuters who don't have internet access on the subway. great app.
When attempting to open folders to read saved articles. Motorola Droid Razr
Doesn't sync reliably
Updating my review. I spent some more time with this app. It still has some syncing issues but I've decided the functionality is worth the hassles. Upgraded to the pay version.
Save and read later. dats so cool. Excellent!
Login fails repeatedly
Everytime I view article in browser, the program crashes upon returning to it. Every. Single. Time. (Droid 2 Global)
Doesn't work. Period.
Limited. Found I was never reading as only last 10 posts sync'ed, so have selected a simple share to IP app with offline support instead.
Takes a long time to sync and is unable to display articles already synced.
