Platforma Testów IBE

IBE Test Platform is free and an open-source application for conducting field research based on interactive surveys.


This application is designed to be used by researches who are interested in measuring different skills and capabilities amongst target groups of people. The application allows to register many examinees on a single device and group them under institutions and departments, which allows later to categorize and compare the results between groups.


Tests suites are usually designed as a set of interactive tasks for the examined person. Examinee performs the tasks directly on the device, what allows fair and uniform automatic scoring. The task sets may be presented as a simple list with a strictly defined order, or as an adaptative test (CAT) that picks the tasks dynamically, depending on which task seems the best for current examinee's capability levels. Manual scoring by the supervisor is also supported, therefore open tasks that require drawing or verbal responses are also possible in the test suites.


After tests are performed, a summary report can be generated on the device, which may will visualize the results of the research. Similarly to the test tasks, report templates are designed by the authors of a test suite and are highly customizable. The reporting module is integrated with Google Drive™ and Google Cloud Print™ services. An anonymized copy of the test results can also be automatically sent to the authors of the test suite, to allow them for example, to easily calibrate the test using a real field data. The application does not send any results without explicit user’s consent.


This application comes with some demonstrational test suites only. It does not provide any real test suite required to perform real field research. To be able to perform research, the user must obtain access to a source of a test suite from a third party provider that designs such tests for the IBE Test Platform.


Recommended hardware for application is at least Motorola Xoom (1G RAM, 1GHz, 10.1").
