Road Recorder

I switched from the now broken Cam On Road app to this one, and everything works extremely well. It's cleaner in every way, and I got the pro version to get rid of the annoying ads. If you use a headset, this app will record your audio if you turn that functionality on, but when you play back the videos, you may need to turn off your headset to hear the audio.

Would be better to try if I could find out how to use miles instead of km/h. Quality seems ok. If I can get mph I can then try it on my android head unit and not my phone. Will give higher rating if it can be changed.

Superior application in this segment and the "Pro" license is a bargain. It is a great way to use that older phone model you have in the drawer, but that still might have a suitable video camera, i.e.something like the Samsung S3. I love how it allows the google navigation app to briefly overlay directions over the video monitor whilst recording and getting navigation instructions at the same time. Small wish: that the "Buy Pro" text would disappear after I paid for the pro version... but that's not a big deal.

App is great, does what it promises unlike other buggy apps. As per developer's response waiting for automatic background/foreground recording switching, when it will be finished I am going to give 5 stars... Just a small nit: led blinking doesn't work on Android 7, but I'm sure it will be fixed soon...

I've been looking for a dash cam app that has everything I want. This app is close to what I need but it does not show GPS setting while recording. It does not have a 'stop' recording button, so I have to end out of the recording. The free app does not let you see more than 2 recordings which does not help me at all since I drive for longer periods of time. Also, the recorded videos do not show the GPS settings either. I need to see these changes before I pay for the app.

Nic nowego. Są lepsze i mają więcej funkcji w darmowym wydaniu. Płacę tylko za to co mi służy. Najpierw.

This is a very well thought out app. I have used this app to re-purpose my Samsung Galaxy S5 as a Navigation and Dashcam system. I can navigate using Google maps whilst this app records from the camera in the background. Works brilliantly. I've checked the resulting video files (using default settings) and they are excellent quality.

Totally out of focus - it focuses on my windshield wiper that's at the bottom of the view, not even moving. It should either focus in the middle of the screen or at infinity... It records the entire drive - it would be useful to only keep the last X minutes of the recording, on demand - to allow the user to save interesting events.

App that actually does what it says it does, and better than most of the competition (if not all). Importantly though, great support and feedback...

App hasn't been updated for the 5x and the video is thusly upside down. Edit: I went to the options and rotated 180deg but what it did was rotate everything so the video is still inverted in relation to the ui. I cannot explain my pain when a fellow developer gives a flippant response instead of dealing with their product's incomplete user of the new Android api. Going down to one star. At least the people behind daily roads are addressing the issue.

No location information or map information is shown when you view the videos on any social media or emailed video, or YouTube. If you need to send your video to someone for legal purposes, it is useless witnout this info coded on the video while viewing it

the PC app does not work on win8 or winXP so i can only see videos with speed on the phone, on other devices there's no speed visible

seems good but there's no way to get the videos with speed off the phone. the pc app does not open. tried on windows xp and 8

Easy to use too but there is a major bug. Whenever I choose a higher resolution the image is elongated eventhough I set the cell camera to coincide with the App setting. Only at the default 640x480 there was no distortion. I used LG G3 running 6.0

While recording the screen turns white. I tried changing the zoom but nothing happened regardless of the zoom settings

When its taking a picture recording hangs. Disabled advanced options - not help. No stop recording (and saving) button.
