About Recipe Calorie Calculator

Recipe Calorie Calculator is designed to allow you to enter the ingredients of a recipe and produce a ball-park figure on the per-serving calories of the dish. By selecting the individual ingredients and their amount and specifying the number of servings, the program will tally the total nutritional information and display the values for one serving of the recipe. You may also view the basic nutritional information for the total amount of each ingredient. You may save and rank any recipes you enter for later review or modification.

Recipe Calorie Calculator also gives you a searchable interface to the USDA Agricultural Research Service, National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference Release 28 (NNDB), which will show you the nutritional information for the most common weight of any item in the database.

While we strive to present accurate data, the values given by this program are based on the information provided in the NNDB and may differ from actual values based on rounding and other factors. This program is not intended to be used as a medical tool or as a guide for basing health decisions. You should always consult your physician before starting any diet or exercise program.

Wasn't able to find everyday ingredients to make the recipe.

I make nearly everything from scratch and too many basic cooking/baking ingredients are missing from this list. As someone who eats both extremely healthy and genuinely cannot eat wheat-based products, I noticed nearly all the traditional flour substitutes are missing from this list. Sorry, guys, I was really excited for this app, but maybe not for a few more upgrades.

The old version showed carbs and dinner for a recipe. Since I'm doing keto, I need this info but it isn't there anymore. Also the database is not great, and there's no way to add a custom ingredient. Eg, I'm using Bulgarian yogurt in a recipe, and no available yogurt has similar nutrition details. Also I discovered that the whole milk plain Greek yogurt is there but has empty nutrition information.

I have a Fitbit and use that app for tracking my food and calories. The problem always arises when something is made of several ingredients. If I make - yes! - oatmeal cookies. (Eeegads! A healthy person eating a cookie? See previous review!) The best thing would be to be able to enter these ingredients and then find out what 1 cookie would be. The FitBit uses a word search or a UPC search which is great but no way to combine and calculate a serving. Your search is too cumbersome for ease of use.

This app is suppose to let you put your recipe in and it will break it down. That way you know what calories are what your eating. The people using this app are going to be people who are healthy. So when u type in oat meal it should give you choices for oatmeal. It does but for every unhealthy version of cookies and instant stuff with sugar etc.Not one place could I find just standard old fashion oat meal .If I am eating oatmeal cookies who gives a crap about my caloric intake.

A great way to quickly figure out the number of calories you are going to consume.
