About BirdID
Lets you use the main features of the birdid.no website on your Android device. Download the bird guide after installing the app to bring with you sounds and images to identify birds, or download quizzes to sharpen your id-skills. Allows off-line content as well. Species names follows system language of your device. Supported languages for species names: Armenian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian. If system language is not supported, English will be used. Version 2 will allow for independent language selection inside the app. Be sure to have some free memory on your device. Developed by BirdID and Nord University. The aim of the bird guide is to cover the whole of the Western Palearctic. It now includes approx. 280 species. You can vote for the next species to be included at the web-page of the bird guide.

Has great potential. Awaiting language options, as there are on the birdid website. For the bird guide, in the future, maybe consider adding habitat, colors and country choice to narrow down the species seen. Certainly that many ornithologist would gladly help in creating appropriate algorithms.

Excellent tool for learning bird identification, great library of photos and sounds for the quiz. Quiz has good difficultly and region settings. The reference material and quizzes can be used offline too. Really clean, well thought-out and fun, I love it!

Stor ulempe at språket følger tlf, tlf min er på engelsk av praktiske årsaker, men skulle gjerne hatt appen på norsk. Også dumt at bildene er zoomet inn som standard. Ellers artig og lærerik app

Excellent app. The images with the hints on what to look for are very helpful, nice touch. I have several bird apps, but I would say this is the best overall. I wish it could be moved to the SD card as space is a problem for me, because it is quite a large download. Thanks.
