This is the official Android version of the Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards (Project NOAH) website (http://noah.dost.gov.ph). The companion app to ARKO (the mobile app for flood, storm surge, and landslide hazard maps), the NOAH Android app features a user-friendly interface that allows you to view near real time weather information, which can help prevent and mitigate disasters.
This mobile app was developed by Rolly Rulete in cooperation with Project NOAH, with the partnership of Smart Communications, Inc. through the Smart Developer Network (SMART DevNet). Content and data come from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and its participating agencies.
Project NOAH’s mission is to undertake disaster science research and development, advance the use of cutting edge technologies and recommend innovative information services in government's disaster prevention and mitigation efforts. Though the use of science and technology and in partnership with the academe and other stakeholders, the DOST through Program NOAH is taking a multi-disciplinary approach in developing systems, tools, and other technologies that could be operationalized by government to help prevent and mitigate disasters.

This app is has really been helpful to me. All of my family members use this app, and we were very disappointed when we heard that the govt will be shutting this app down by march because of the lack of funding. I hope they'd change their mind because this has been one of the best projects that the govt has implemented. Very timely and accessible.

The radars are mostly NOT working. But they particularly NOT working when you need it most, during severe weather. If in some occasions you are lucky and get a reading it is hours if not days behind.

I like the idea of the app but it has many things that are not fully implemented and not working. The UI is just too plain and it don't have a User Experience. The weather should be focus to your location and also you can search your location in the rain gauge module. Some modules are not working. I hope they are working for this bugs and fix it. I would suggest that they would update this to a simple,easy-to-use, User-friendly, More Visuals(like graphs, charts and stats) bonus is the recommendations.

I have been using this app for more than a year. It has become my indispensable tool for predicting the weather (and flooding). I have turned into the unofficial weather forecaster in our area because of this, lol. Doppler radar feeds are the best! Keep them up! Salamat po!

Before I can see the MTSAT in your project NOAH application, why a sudden change? It is so hard to understan the GSMAP. Please return the MTSAT on the application

Support for (offline) vector maps would be great to minimize the amount of data being downloaded everytime the app is used. Also, weather stations in Samar (maybe for other locations too) do not return any data.

The app sucks.. Just downlaoded it today becaause of weather disturbances and checked of possible rains in metro... It says LOW at 10%!!!! And it''s raining all day and all night since yesterday... Damn...
