'책으로 전하는 부모님의 사랑' 눈길

울산대학교 중앙도서관(관장 강영환)이 학생과 학부모가 자녀들에게 읽히고 싶은 책을 추천하는 글과 책을 읽고 난 뒤 부모님께 전하는 사랑의 답글 139편이 실렸다. 이 글은 중앙도서관이 지난해 5월 신입생과 학부모를 대상으로 독서진흥 프로그램인 '책으로 전하는 부모님의 사랑'을 열어 학부모가 추천한 도서를 구입해 해당 신입생에게 전달하고 부모님께 독후감 편지를 보내게 한 654명의 사례 가운데 간추린 것이다.

철학과 이 모 학생은 "사소한 것도 함부로 여기지 않는 사람이 되기를 바란다"는 편지로 부모님이 추천한 러셀의 을 읽고서 "참다운 철학은 행(行)하는 것이라는 것임을 책을 통해 깨닫게 해준 부모님께 감사드린다고 답장했다.
