BIXI (discontinued)

Je dois descendre ma cote suite au dernier mis à jour.. Il n'y a plus d'accès rapide à nos stations favoris pour savoir rapidement s'il y a des bornes de libre à notre destination favorite alors que c'était là avant. Ce sera une perte de temps d'avoir à naviguer au travers de la carte à chaque fois. Remettez l'accès rapide à nos stations favoris et l'app sera bon.

La nouvelle version améliore grandement les aspects visuels et fonctionnels. La commandite a été réduite à une place raisonnable ce qui est très bien. Par contre, trop de fonctionnalités ont été intégrées aux dépends de l'utilisabilité, attendez vous à devoir beaucoup cliquer. L'intégration de l'espace personnel est anecdotique. Comme la version Web, il ne semble pas qu'une réflexion sur les usages ait été menée. Bref, il y a encore place pour l'amélioration. Cherchez 'f8full' pour voir l'app que je propose

Offline mode works very well, caches the map so you can even view the street names offline. Indicates the bike paths and even the number of bikes at the stations.

This new update is so nice! The new interface is so much better than before

Suggestions: 1) allow users to log into their account so they can access website related content 2) change current location dot to an arrow to show which direction the user is standing. 3) Google maps integration. Nexus 5 v5.1 - Montreal Bixi user

Needs a data connection just to show location of bike docks, this therefore doesn't work for international tourists - doesn't even cache the locations if you wait till map loaded during WiFi first. Worse still a started timer stops working when data connection is lost

Unlike other reviewers, I never got a single notification, the app was very unobtrusive. Bixi station locations were accurate, though the bike and free space counts weren't always perfect. I gave it 4 stars because the map should have more information, including where the bike lanes are. I was constantly flipping between the bixi app and Google maps app, which should be unnecessary.

Are the devs high? Why do you think we'd want constant irrelevant notifications? Esp with no option to turn them off.

It does it's job - it shows you where there are availble bikes and available spots to return bikes. Unfortunately, it also pushes constant notifications with station updates which can't be disabled and, in Montreal at least, are only in French. For me, any app which pushes notifications which can't be disabled gets uninstalled. I would recommend trying a different app.

Can't turn notifications off, out sound off at least. Ugly to look at. I'm uninstalling it.

Stop sending me notifications!! Or let me choose to have them or not!!! Or only the ones I stared!!

I find this app has many useful features. Particularly, it is nice to be able to find a Bixi stand when you need one. Unfortunately, I can only seem to get the location feature to work when I am connected to Wifi (not over 3g). This basically renders this app useless for me.

The STM app has higher ratings yet no map?? Timer is useful also, great app.

No option to save "favorites". Have to go through list or map each time if you aren't on gps mode.

A part afficher des spéciaux, l'application ne fait absolument rien. Une erreur de configuration réseau empêche l'affichage de la liste ou de la carte avec les stations, malgré que la carte s'affiche tout de même. Interface copié d'ios sans suivre les guidelines Android ( bouton pour reculer dans le coin supérieur gauche malgré la touche présente dans le système d'exploitation. ) seule fonction efficace, le Timer, pourtant déjà présent dans les applications de base du téléphone.

Pas optimisé pour écrans haute définition, pas clair et trop de pub, vaut même pas la peine d'essayer

Not bad, needs a few Gerald in things like layout and customization options. I'm sure the app will improve. And there's too much sponsorship junk in there.

Tells me to check my network configuration. Stuck on telling me it's dry for the next 119 minutes. I'm connected to the Internet so I don't know what the problem is.

Works amazingly well, very accurate and app updates almost instantly after docking or removing a bike! Google maps integration of bixi stations would be amazing as bixi app doesn't actually let you navigate. Other than that, does exactly what it says it will do

Did help us find stations, but needs: 1. much simpler, one tap, way to pinpoint on map user's current location and destination and the nearest bixi locations north, south, east and west of each; 2. user's specific current rental info, with auto timer and cumulative cost, etc.

Location is on and working but won't update

Une app à l'image du système, rongée par la publicité et à l'aspect visuel très moyen. Toutes les fonctionnalités impossible à faire par les développeurs d'applications tiers (interactions avec l'espace personel) sont absentes. À ce compte là, autant utiliser Spotcycle ou City Bikes. Ai enlevé une étoile pour cause de foutage de gueule avec la liste des futures fonctionnalités qui ne sont toujours pas là 18 mois plus tard.

It should really have the option to log in & control My Account. Now it not so much of use. If it would have that option I would rate it then 5 stars.

Tells me it can't get the bike or station list. To check my configuration. Please check YOUR configuration. Now it's just for Montreal. Fire the programmers.

This app had a rough start, i downloaded the first version and it was fairly useless and almost unusable, but it has evolved and now has the info you need handy. Station locations by list or on a map with number of bixes available and open spots. Not often needed but useful when you do need it.

The Toronto app is buggy. It fails loading the live station status, which is pretty much the most important feature of the app. (on HTC phone, Sense 3.6 Android 4.0.3, Mobilicity network).

Says location error check network configuration... Worked the first 2 times I used it.. Hasn't worked since.. Works for Montreal map but I'm in Toronto so that's useless.

All the other functionalities are good, especially the GPS integration, but the availability of bikes is way off. Walked to two Toronto stations showing bikes, but the stations wouldn't let me take them out. I don't know who to blame, so I'm taking it out on the app.

Whats the point of having an app when its accuracy is this horrible....useless. Said 12 bikes were available when in fact there were 0...and I refreshed for 30 minutes after witnessing...still said 12 available bikes. BAD

Cette application est mediocre au mieux, le design est démodé, la disponibilité des velos et des emplacement libres sont dans 2 sections séparées et meme pas de moyen de sauver ces stations favorites.

The app is good and helpful but I'd like to have the option to create a list of favorite stations

Been using the bixi app for iPhone which works perfect. Why can't you do the same for android.
