Odyssey by Homer ( Greek / English )

This is the parallel Greek - English text of The Odyssey by Homer. The translation is by A.T. Murray (1919). Each Greek word is linked with a dictionary definition, either from Strong's New Testament Dictionary or from a condensed Greek dictionary.

The Odyssey is one of two Greek epic poems by Homer. It is, to some degree, a sequel to the Iliad, also by Homer. The Odyssey is part of the modern Western canon of literature, being the second oldest extant work available. The Iliad is the oldest. Scholars believe the Odyssey was written around the end of the 8th century BC, in Ionia.
