On The Ministry

This app is good to use for android. However, it is very difficult to restore your backup files to a new device. I have over 100 RV's and no way to extract them because the app does not allow you to restore diectly to the device like "My Time" for IOS.

The application has very nice features. But I would like to ask the developer to add an option to be able to scroll within the notes even if it is opened (edit mode) or it is closed (overview mode). What I have noticed is when I marked that I have placed (I think it was) a tract at a return visit, the application counted me a video showing instead of a placement. Thank you for your hard work you putting in this application to work properly. It is a great help for us. I look forward to the next update. ☺

Great app, helps me to track service, calls and set goals. Others have mentioned error when transferring data to new phone. It's unnecessarily difficult, but possible. You must use a file manager app (I use free version of ES File Explorer). First, in the on the ministry app, choose to export data by email (menu - config - send database). Open the email on your phone and download the data restore file. Next, using ES explorer, navigate to sd card folder (choose internal storage, then tap the backslash in upper menu bar/file navigation and the find sd card folder. You must be in the folder called sd folder, which is different than just clicking on the sd card button on ESFile explorer home screen. Thats confusing but important). Once you open the sd card folder create a new folder called databasedata (must be this exact name, all lowercase). Next, go to ES File explorer home screen, tap internal storage, find download folder, then find file called ontheministry. Copy this file (long tap/press to copy) and paste it to the databasedata folder. Finally, open on the ministry and restore from sd card.....success! Yes, unnecessarily difficult!!!

Have loved this app for 3 yrs. Now need to transfer data to new phone and can't. Transferred to SD card then put card in new phone but when ask to restore, it says the file does not exist. Didn't really want to have to transfer all this data manually but not seeing much choice. Very sad :-(

Chose this one because a friend who was not computer savvy seen to work it well. I did play with it a bit and it seem great. Once I received my new phone I purchased the app. But I can not edit. I recorded my time for Sept on Oct and I cannot seem to change it. I would like my refund, Please.

This is the only app I have used since I started pioneering.. and I can not get it to transfer to my new phone a note 7... all the other phones I have transferred it too has worked fine... but can not get it to work now...:(

Very good tool for our service . To the developer is there a way to backup and restore the database .? My phone needed a factory reset and lost my calls. We know this data is of utmost importance .

I had to reinstall from backup and it only had backed up info from January 2016 and before so I lost all info from January 2016 until now. :(

We now give only 1 magazine at a time. And when i had a new visit or placement they instantly wrote 2. Always have to change it manually. The rest is good i like the app.

How is time calculated by the application? Is it military klicks, 100 per hour, and hours or what??? I'm so confused

Can the developer add the Good News brochure as a study option? And update the spelling for the Teach book? I would have given a higher score but backing up my database and restoring it to a different device was quite a hassle that never proved successful. Other than that, it is an adequate app.

A fairly robust app, but needs updating. The backup options simply do not work unless you have a device with a SD card. You can send the backup, but you cannot restore the database. So, look at manually reentering your Return visit info.

Would like to count a study without being required to enter information separatly. It would be nice to have the option to just enter a number and note.

Thank you for updating tracts and reporting! I really like this app, but was getting disappointed that there hadn't been any updates to keep up with our publications. So happy to see update. Now we just need Good News from God and the two Listen to God brochures added and simplified Bible Teach book to really be on top of things. :-) Another field under return visits would be nice for videos shown too. Maybe just generic categories since there are so many different ones. Or maybe just a box to check if video shown then box beneath to type video name. Of course link to report so it automatically goes to report like other placements do.

Would like to be able to edit a the contact from the information tab...also want to copy text...it only let's you paste..,grrr

I like the application - I downloaded this on my Samsung note 10.1 (2014). I have no menu dots- top right corner, so I can't access conf menu to update with current information from my phone. Any suggestions?

The only thing I would change for me. Only because it's in our area, it's no longer RBC, it's now LDC. Other then that I've enjoyed the app very much, thank you.

This seems for for the short period of time I've been using it. But I hope to see the updates as needed for example Video placement tracker and so forth

Managed after about 3 hours work to get data transferred from S3 to S6 but data is useless as dates/times showed up as blank fields. Backup and/or transfer needs to be more user-friendly - BIG TIME. Fix that and I'll give it five stars.

Since upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the Return Visits list for each RV no longer shows the date, placement, etc. This makes the app unusable.

I would like to see a Calendar Instead - it's hard to track time as it's easy to create multiple entries by accident

How do you stop app.from added mag.when I put in rv?

I find this app very useful. I would love it: 1) if I could just enter my bible studies like I do all my other information. 2) I would love to enter the address and the GPS function would list the rv's by how close they we're to my location. I had an app in the past that could do this.

All of a sudden I could only pull up the home page and then only name and address. No way to get my previous visits notes. I can make a new return visit note for the person but I never see it again. Very sad. Lost some comments I needed of the h.h. To make an intelligent RV. UNINSTALLED IT AND WENT TO ANOTHER. I really miss the app the way it used to work.

Nice app, I use it heaps. Would be nice to have the publications list updated. It could be difficult to move data between devices for non technical users. Keep up the good work!

I love the app.because it's the best I've found. It needs more functions though. How do I get it off of the hard drive of my previous phone? I broke my display, I cannot see anything. The phone works but no display. . I need to know how to/get the info with the USB file system.
