Amazing apps for mineralogist or amateurs.Great indexing and wide variety of detailed info about many and even obscured minerals.Would be nice to have offline description about the minerals but nevertheless worthwhile and informative app.

This is an amazing app for anyone into mineralogy! The app has a vast mineral database that offers extensive information on each of the minerals. Minerals in the database can be searched for by name as well as by pretty much any mineral property or classification ID. Another nice feature is that you can favorite any mineral for easy info access later. The app is also great as a resource for learning more about mineralogy . The 'further reading' section in the app offers texts introducing the reader to the field of mineralogy and the terminologies used. Although it says to only cover the basics I found the articles to be very comprehensive, well written and insightful. Conclusion: best and most comprehensive mineralogy app out there! Oh, and the app is free :)

I am a geologist of 26 years. I have reviewed this application. I believe it to be very accurate and very helpful. However I would like to see an easier navigation with more common names so that this application may be used by the newest amateurs that choose geology as their new field. I would say this is a very very very good application. Thank you for creating it and I look forward to the improvements in the future. I would like to see minerals that are state specific.
