What are users saying about Yaaic - IRC Client

B70%
by B####:

The only thing preventing me giving this 5 stars is that the user list scrollbar is view only. I can't grab it. Also it would be nice if I could swipe to switch servers somehow. Except from that it is perfect.

G70%
by G####:

It certainly works but the lack of a channel tree makes it usuable, along with a dated interface.

W70%
by W####:

I've had this for a few years now on the Nexus 4 and OnePlus 3 and it's the best mobile IRC client I've used. The developer listens to feedback as well which is good.

U70%
by U####:

Classified as a PUP (potentially unwanted program) by AVG antivirus. Dont Download This.

N70%
by N####:

Is there anyway I can setup a bot for my irc server with this.

W70%
by W####:

it's alright, doesn't auto rejoin +k channels though

D70%
by D####:

Does its job, lighter than most other Android clients.

Y70%
by Y####:

Always disconnect...please fix

H70%
by H####:

Nice irc client works great and easy to set up

N70%
by N####:

Safe, open source, active development.

N70%
by N####:

Doesn't show messages at all. Does communicate with server.

R70%
by R####:

ANDChat and Yaaic are the only clients that don't crash on channels with a very large population; like MMO servers. It may lack some features, but I love the simple UI and how fast it runs on my phone.

M70%
by M####:

I keep having to use /raw just for /join /part /nick etc. WTF is this stupid thing? basic IRC commands don't even work!

M70%
by M####:

Would be nice if white was not a possible color for names to be colorized with. Since the text is already white it makes it hard to read.

X70%
by X####:

This is by far my favourite irc client, I've not found any bugs, it supports a lot of different features, and frankly it just works. Not much more I can say.

K70%
by K####:

If you want to copy the text from chat then sometimes double tap don't work to select the text. Please fix this. Otherwise very good app.

L70%
by L####:

Doesn't show the channel you connect to.

M70%
by M####:

Can't even /list on many servers.

M70%
by M####:

Is there anyway I can setup a bot for my irc server with this.

X70%
by X####:

Good but.. Press enter to send message and keyboard autohides after sending msg. :(

P70%
by P####:

Crashes using /list

K70%
by K####:

Or autocomplete

M70%
by M####:

Needs more features like color control and font choice.

X70%
by X####:

But I want Samsung multi-window capability

M70%
by M####:

Safe, open source, active development.

M70%
by M####:

Its the best, i feel confident on it

M70%
by M####:

This would be the best irc client for android if it wasn't missing so many features. No copying of messages, you can't scroll up to read old messages if people are talking, and no nick tracking. That, and it hasn't seen an update in ages... maybe the developed has abandoned it

M70%
by M####:

Almost unusable, because it scrolls to the bottom when someone says something. Also, would be 5 stars if you could see a backlog even when you restart the app.

M70%
by M####:

The basics work great, however a few features are still needed (see other comments). Since the last update happened two years ago I slightly doubt we will see one in the near future

P70%
by P####:

Please disable (or give an option to disable) auto scrolling to the bottom whenever something new is said. Autoscroll makes it impossible to catch up in an active room.

M70%
by M####:

I used to use Yaairc a lot, now it repeatedly loses connection on all my servers. Other users are saying this is an SSL bug, which is possible (all my servers use SSL). Otherwise, it's a lightweight, no nonsense client that does what you expect.

M70%
by M####:

I want to be able see the room list for the server I'm on and be able to change the noise for the alerts instead of there only being an option to turn on sound. It would be nice to also be able to set the alert option per room or from specific senders instead of globally. I would have rated much higher if not for several nuances that I wish it had.

E70%
by E####:

Perfect, apart from one thing: it sometimes lags when trying to join a channel on an SSL enabled server. I'm not sure if this is just an issue with SSL servers only as I only use the app for one server. Which uses SSL. That said, this is otherwise hands down the best Android IRC app.

R70%
by R####:

Program works good. Had no issues on my Galaxy S4, but now I am on a HTC One M9 and it works okay with the exception that it crashes after you return from not using it for a little bit. Would gladly say 5 stars if you can patch or. :)

A70%
by A####:

Please for the love of god a /ignore function is desperately needed.

B70%
by B####:

Ever since I updated this app, it crashes so frequently, it makes it hard to even use it.

M70%
by M####:

No updates for 5 months.... I hope your not dead.

R70%
by R####:

Would like custom highlight notifications

R70%
by R####:

Nice

R70%
by R####:

Every thing works good here. I really find the colors and text very readable. One thing though is the spacing between channels on the top imo it should have some spacing between them.
