VLC for Android for Android
Where is the next button and there should be a optiin to see video details while playing itself.
Awesome just need some modifications in UI. Make it more cool.
Was my favourite. Takes to much internal memory
Don't make separate version
on screen short is very best
Super
Awesome
Not in Amazon Appstore, so had to sideload onto my 2016 Amazon Fire TV stick, which was a hassle, but worth the effort! Using it to play videos from shared folders on my networked Windows computer. Superb video and audio quality and sync, including subtitles. Even plays x265 video with only the occasional glitch. Much better than any other network streaming I've tried, no server app needed, highly recommended!
While screen mirroring audio video don't get synchronized. audio is played first and then after 4 seconds particular visual comes on TV . Plz remove this bug so that we can enjoy online movies on big tv screen. And let give a txt box in for subtitles search, Bcoz for online videos also ,we can search subtitle manually by entering movie name........ best part is subtitle can be casted while screen mirroring and it don't require to keep phone display on.
It would be nice to be able to select the directories you may want to limit the audio and video file scan to. Otherwise, what you get is a mix of WhatsApp or other downloaded files that come unsolicited into your vlc libraries (classic example are the ringtones you get from the net)... And that sucks, as other players let you choose the library directory...
Great app, have used it over 10 years in various software, has almost always been reliable compared to everything else available and has more codecs. Had my first reliability problem with new update, where there is no playback if opening indirectly from messenging app, but works fine when played direct. I know it will be fixed quickly, so many years of great reliability, hence 5 stars.
Great app. It has good performance, a clean interface without any ads (looking at you MX player), and good customization options. 2 problems I have though: - Can't delete files off of the SD card, even though the storage permission has been given. - An option to disable subtitles permanently would be nice.
Having been a user of MX Player for many years, it's performance of late has been disappointing. So I thought I'd give VLC Player a go instead. Well, I have made a good decision. It's fast, plays everything I throw at it and above all, it works perfectly with my WD My Cloud NAS storage. It also loads very quickly with no buffering or freezing up. So I highly recommend this app.
It is good app but need major improvement. While watching video if you pause video for some time, or switched to some other app for a while then on returning vlc whole movie will start again. It's very difficult each time to remember where I left the movie. Moreover if you want to watch a movie in two or three parts it won't start from the point where I left. I'm some other apps I have seen every time I start video it prompt whether to continue from the point I left the video or start again.
I was using the built in video player to watch my saved videos, but I had a video downloaded that was recorded in an ultra wide aspect ratio. The built in player stretched it vertically to fill my screen and I couldn't get it not to. So I looked into another media that I had more options and I came across VLC which I had already had on my PC . It had plenty of fit options and showed the resolution of all my videos and length and had good organization, It's great and I love it!
I replaced separate music and video players with VLC several days ago. So far, so good. It lacks nothing I truly need; it even has a 10-band graphic equalizer. No Material Design, but the interface is intuitive and the dark theme works for me. It works well. with both my music and videos, seems to have no bugs, and there are no ads to get in the way. All I would ask for in a future release is the ability to edit mp3 id3 tags, and to retrieve album cover art.
YOU ARE AMAZING! Not only is this very good for watching movies; sound is better cause it's higher than when I play it on my phone, Controls are easy to understand and very convenient. But, what I really made me love this the most is I tried to download english subs, I didn't find the right one and was afraid my phone would get a virus from all the shifting windows and the popping adds. Later I learned there was a feature on here to download. I used to shun that notion away cause I thought it might take me to a website. But nope, it only took a sec and I was able to enjoy with english subtitles. Thank you!!!❤️
if their is less than star i will give it to you in general it is peace of sh*t video dont open black screen i need to make clear data and cache feel time on my note 4 to make vlc work it was the best video player in the world i used to use it on my pc and mobiles but with this update this is a catastrof you must repaire it or bye vlc
Hi, The App is no doubt I found it better than MX Player. But there are few issues if you can guys update or provide it would be great. I like the split screen feature but the moment I change the UI to Android TV UI, it doesn't give you the split screen option. More over in split screen: volume adjustment, fast forward option and brightness adjustment options are missing. If you guys can provide these ops in the split screen it going to be a flawless video player. But still it is the best video player so far as per my knowledge.
I've been using this app since the beta and it's still the best music app I've ever used on Android. Would give it 5 stars, but I would like to see a couple additions. First, being able to choose your music directory from a list would be so helpful. Second, I would absolutely LOVE it if there was an option to save custom EQ settings. The EQ is my favorite feature, but every time the EQ page opens up, sometimes even by accident, it resets back to flat and I have to redo my EQ settings each time. Thanks for all the hard work!
Love it! Love it! Love it! It automatically retrieved my songs instantly!! So easy to use, seems like it should be a built-in app! I'm not computer savvy at all, but was able to create a playlist in 5 mins I've had songs on my phone for over a year that never played continuously. Listening to my music while working out, I had to manually play the next song.
The app is pretty good overall but I would like just one more feature. As of now, I can only play/pause through my head phone's button. Please add the feature of jumping to next song on two presses of the button. That's the most basic feature while using headphones and keeping your hands free.
No smooth experience while jumping to a certain time during playback. For big sized video files, there's considerable delay in transition while switching between portrait and landscape modes. The VLC mobile app needs an improvement to its performance. Hope the developers address the issue :)
Seems like a gr8 vid player so far but PLEASE make it to where u can tell which videos u have already watched, like mx player does. Well u can tell u watched something by the orange bar at the bottom of the thumbnail but maybe something a little more clear? Also PLEASE make it to where we can name our videos. If I watch a video in a series I can't remember which 1 it is an which 1 to download nxt. If I download a lot at once I can't tell what order they're supposed 2 be in.
I've used the pc version for years, and love how flexible or capable this free program has been. My only issue with android version is the scanning, there's no way to limit the directories scanned, so everything comes up. The only other thing I can think of is video playback going all greyscale for a set of 5-50 frames when playing from the NAS when on WiFi, but it's nothing game breaking as long as it's in English. All in all a solid program that has done wonders for years and I highly recommend using it.
I've tried tons of players this one is amazing and by far the best. Every important feature you can imagine is just there. The rendering blew me away. I didn't know my videos were supposed to be so clear lol One thing though, it would be great if there was a switch to turn off the resume from where you left off feature.
Using latest vlc for Android on samsung tab A with marshmallow. I made a playlist some months ago then decided to remove some songs. I swipe to remove them tnen save the modified list as itself.turns out the only thing thats happened is appending the same list to the end of the original playlist and includes the songs i thought i removed. Now i have over a hundred songs of repeat stuff. Tested this a few times with same results
I'm having trouble keeping the folders I want to be associated with the app selected. The app chooses to scan every single dam folder on device and external storage. I'm able to deselect device and it stays, but when I deselect folders on either external or device storage and I scroll they select all over again. Thus giving me every audio, video, etc not associated with this such as WhatsApp, Facebook, system ring tones and so on.... I have a S7... would appreciate a quick fix to manage selected folders only
Stops working if you open a video from SD card, and change apps, and return to the video instead of going to the VLC app to view the video. Lol not sure if I'm explaining it right. But ja just open videos straight from the VLC app and no crashes. 5 stars because it has so many great functions. Particularly watching a video while you do other stuff
This app has simple and intuitive controls with simple instructions that can easily be dismissed and never seen again. It does everything right with the UI. The only thing buggy with the app is the thumbnail sampling on some mkv files, the lack of detecting if hardware decoding will work on specific mkv files, and sometimes it is heavily delayed when you open up the menu to see the details on specific files. This app seems to be still in development and being updated so it should be fixed soon.
Excellent music and video player with minimum memory footprint than most lightweight players. Some customizations needed for following 1) Earphone button actions because of that i can't change next/previous song by double/triple tap. 2) Single tap plays only one song can you set it to play all or give a setting to customize instead of tapping on three dots and play all. 3) In Nougat delete option is not visible anywhere.
Hi VLC, I love you guys.... Excellent player as usual like computer version. I only have two suggestion - 1. Please increase volume till 200% like it happens in computer version, 100% sometimes is not sufficient. And, 2. Please add a resume option, if I start playing a recently played video it should ask for fresh start or to resume.... Excellent work guys... Keep it up.
I always search and install many media players who support different formats but each of them was not suitable for other formats. My search came to an end in 2010 when first time i see it and accidentally i try different formats. Till then i akways have vlc only in all muy devices specially old version 1.0.1. It is more than perfect.
It doesn't remember your last place in a file so you can continue where you left off. I have movies and audio books that I would like to listen to, but every time I open the file, it goes back to the beginning. It would also be useful to bookmark locations in a file and locate to them easily.
There's so many good reasons for this to be my favorite media player on Android. Unfortunately, every time I start a playlist with wired headphones and turn the screen off, it doesn't continue to the next song automatically. This is a large deal breaker for me. I tried turning the auto stop on headphone unplug thing off but that didn't work. CyanogenMod 12 on Galaxy S4
So there is this other app claiming to be the best video app for android, 10mil + downloads... download - audio does not work, have to download another codec pack for said app, still does not work. Find out that due to software license agreements you have to download a "Crack code" to get the "original" codes so you can play the audio files AND it has ADVERTS unless you pay for premium... got rid of it all and installed VLC and it just works.. .like it should.... first time.... Bravo!
Its good. But some bugs.. it dosen't play all mkv videos Also using volume and brightness gesture while running video. The text should appear toward very right/left and vertically. So video will not get spoiled. Please fix these bugs. Then this app is best ever than ever...
Came from MX Player due to too many ads after years of loyalty. This version of VLC rocks. Used VLC on desktop forever so glad to see it working really well on Android. Please implement a file browser of some type for adding video folders... Trying to type in the paths is kind of a hassle.

The most loveliest feature of it is speed regulation which I've not seen in any other video/audio player....
